the smaller one at the end looks to me like a cascade or some other kind of ribbon mics. being in germany though, they're mic selection is probably world class top notch stuff.

nope - actually it's a neumann cmv563 with m7 capsule... the mic for the percussion is a brauner - probably a vm1.
