  • Several scientific studies in the 1960s confirmed that watching the Lawrence Welk show caused a 5 to 10 point drop in IQs.

  • My mom had this song on a 45 and whenever she played it my sister would point at her ass and yell "and it comes out here".

  • that's a tiny BBb tuba lol

  • wonderful

  • The mouthpiece on the toba is about the size as a trombone mouthpiece

  • @thejedi9makisi It's actually a Conn 2, about the same size as a normal tuba mouthpiece....

  • still loving the show...

  • haha well i'm 17 and this video is just hilarious to watch.. i remember watching lawrence welk reruns with my grandma as a child. i just think it's funny now

  • Beautiful Conn 10J tuba!!!

  • I have played on a mouthpeice similar to that. They feel so small. I think that one is an "Olds" Mouth peice.

  • awesome song and couple! They been married about 30+ years and still growing!!

  • STILL GOTTA A CRUSH ON MARY LOU!!

  • were else does it come out?

  • anywhere it can!

  • She was SOOOO animated! Loved it, and Richard was a lucky guy to be blessed with such a beautiful and talented person!

  • Sorry tuba is my viagra. Love this piece!

  • Richard was my reading instructor at MI "BIT" 91'-92'. He was a neat guy and was very patient. Definitely an inspiration that I will never forget. I recall he played the Tuba at Knots Berry farm as well.

  • Richard is the fellow who inspired me to take up the tuba. Anyone know what happened to him? He certainly found a dish for a wife.

  • Rich and Mary Lou are still married to this day! He has appeared on many of the Welk show wraparounds aired on PBS...and continues to perform professionally as a musician, plus has appeared in local productions of the play "Forever Plaid"

  • Richard was my ear training teacher in school. We started the class with 30 people and finished with 3. He had some "interesting" ideas about sound to say the least. I thought he was great and very weird in a cool way. He taught me how to "see" sound. He has a dry and witty sense of humor too.

  • wonder if ppl still likes to listen to this kinda stuff live

  • Out of your speakers,obviously!

  • Now, where exactly does the music come out? I'm still trying to figure out where to apply Head On. I prefer Curly Howard's version.

  • Gee Wizz! so that's how you play the tooba. Oh boy oh boy! Can I play the tuba mom? can i??

  • I love it though!

  • you cant say a tuba makes only farting noises if you dont know what you're talking about. tuba can go as high as it wants to.

  • I'm going to have that stuck in my head now...
