1. This game at 44GB takes up most of the space on a blu-ray disc. An Xbox 360 DVD holds a little over 8GB. Indisputably, this game as it is will not fit. As it stands, it would take FIVE dual-layered Xbox 360 DVDs to hold the game.

If this codec conversation was on MGS2 most propably it would be a refference to MGS1...but since it's MGS4 and the evolution of having the whole game in only one disc came with MGS2 and afterwards it's pointless and kinda stupid to mention that now since the last 2 MGS were on one disc...and Hideo isn't stupid at all.

MGS3 didn't have Solid Snake or Otacon and MGS2 barely had Snake playing. It was mostly Raiden in MGS2. The similarities in MGS1 and MGS4 are that it's mostly Solid Snake and Otacon in the game, and MGS4 is partly nostalgic with its revisting of MGS1's Shadow Moses location.

It's meant as a reference to the older PSX and PS2 games, where they had multiple disks for their games (I.E. Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, MGS, etc.). It just happens to be that the 360 needs to swap disks too.
