  • What a skill & technique to yarn for!

  • Shhhhhhhhhhhh idiot!

  • Dude hes the calmest person ever. Lol Canada's are so chill and laid back.

  • Nice job Rob, thank you for your service. You da man. I'm a hunter and hate to quote Chuck Mawhinney, but that looks like an enjoyable challenge. That's not exactly how Chuck said it but the you tube crowd gets pretty fired up! Congrats...

  • american bullets and a canadian sniper get er done

  • AL QUAEDA IS CIA

    DONT U GET IT????

  • Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed reading all of your comments and words of support. Over the years I have had many people attempt to contact me for various reasons (what was my experience in the military like, or what type of rifle they should buy). I have constructed a Facebook account, so I can stay in contact with everyone and answer any questions you might have. Hope to talk to you soon, take care. Ret.Cpl.Rob FURLONG.

  • I live where Cpl Furlong now serves as a police officer (or did, last I heard). I never want to date his daughter or catch him on a bad day during a routine traffic stop. But damn.. am I proud to say we have one of the best snipers in the world protecting my safety. :)

  • british army beat it in 2009 with a shot from a L115A3. kill shot at 2,475m and the sniper was called Craig Harrison from the household cavalry. boom

  • Well done that man!

  • Sheppard murderer

  • the world is fucked

  • @ALfaDuB101 The world is beyond fucked..

  • @ALfaDuB101 Ok lets let muslims take our country and out jobs, and then blow us up.

  • If there's one product that will always have "Made in U.S.A." stamped on it, it's the best ammunition in the world.

  • the spotter is like .......

    you actualy fucking did it.......

  • Shah-i-kot Valley ("The Valley of the Kings"?!) I thought MOH 2010 was just made it up... so its real.. o.O

  • @strikezero01 MoH 2010 in fact was based off real stories of US navy SEAL who worked in Shah-i-kot valley.

  • @binbashLinuxAhole Yep, which is part of the controversy about it. (How dare you make a video game where you can play the Taliban!).. personally, I thought it enlightening and freaking scary how much detail they put into it. I was surprised how little respect it got from the armed services. It made me very proud of what they do, even if I was disgusted by the motives behind why they had to. (ie: blame the general, not the soldier)

  • to tugatrix thats impossible the L96 fires a 7.62mm round and has a maximum effective range 1000m give or take 100ft

  • @NCFC4EVER1 <---- you need to do your homework before making a dumbass remark

  • Dope The Scope!!!!

  • No longer, two british snipers beat the record with a L96, which use a smaller bullet. Impressive.

  • @tugatrix craig harrison .338 lapua round

  • @tugatrix L115A3

  • @tugatrix Pretty awesome. But then again the conditions were perfect for long range shooting.

  • Too bad Furlong's record was beaten.

  • I wonder if he was being targeted after this the event went public.

  • He beat Carlos, but Carlos didn't use a high precision rifle...he used a freaking machine gun - like a boss.

  • OOOOOH CANADA! kickin ars! nothing but respect! and a cold chill up your spine if you were ever being watched. I was in Central Wa recently and spoke with a gun shop owner who has recently sold over 2 dozen Barrett .50 cal...semi auto ones. So the central area of say...Wenatchee is very well covered.

  • Nice shot or what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh no, you shot meh. :P

  • Canadian snipers rule.

    No suprise really.

I'm Canadian and most of my friends spent their summers shooting gophers out to 400 yards with a .222 remington 700 Varminter.

  • @pittsky canadians are awesome people wish i lived there i am dutch

  • Search "History Channel's Sniper: Inside The Crosshairs FULL" to see full version ! Thumbs up to keep this at top of the page !

  • British army beat this shot last year.

  • @charliesacoolkid ur a fuckin dumass

  • @geetarrgurru truth though ;)

  • @charliesacoolkid Haaha, what on a range hitting a building? Nah, I've got respect but you have no proof.

  • @TheVampyreCat

    /watch?v=HOxfryZZji4

problem vampyrecat? [respect to Canada too [massively]

  • @charliesacoolkid Sorry(I didn't even go to your page), I actually remember that being on the news, must have preferred the memory of a Canadian doing it so I forgot it.

  • now taliban snipers are aiming at you!

  • @lemurer

    Chuckle.

    Come and get me haji.

  • americans are so good at making stuff to kill people....

  • Canadian made rifle, American made .50 cal round.

  • @MrUksgt best combo ever?

  • @ BigFuzzy,

Confirmed by the news reporters attached to his patrol using GPS. Also confirmed by his command using GPS also.

The weapon used was the L115 which isnt 7.62 its actually an 8.59 and accurate to more that the recorded range.

Oh...and its very unlikly that the British Government are in the midst of a conspiracy therory over a double kill and weapon disabling shot.

Very easy to find sources as a simple google search will fnd the results you require.

  • @TheRockomb

and sources also say it took him 9 targeting shots before he shot on the target to get a kill. If ya ask me taking 9 shots is a long long time while someone is under attack not to mention reloading as the mag only holds 5 rounds

so he took a kill shot reloaded then took another kill shot and then another shot to disable the weapon sounds fishy to me. jfk theory anyone

  • @crowndroyal

Share the sources you mention on the "9 targeting" shots.

How is it even remotly close to jfk theory...and seriously.. if you think a government is covering up or in a conspiracy theory over a kill shot.. then you people REALLY need to go outside more. lols.

  • @TheRockomb I was just poking fun about the conspiracy but it does sound a little fishy, and there was reports of another team closer in the area so shots could have come from them. At that distance you could never tell, but then I Guess there would be disputes about the kill.

and this is taken from wiki ( not a super trusted source)*** In a BBC interview, Harrison reported it took about nine shots for him and his spotter to initially range the target successfully*** right in the first line.

  • as for the jfk theory reference there was a theory of a second shooter.

  • Actually Carlos hathcock didn't use a rifle for his record shot. He used a browning m2 machine gun.

  • This is old. His shot was beaten by a British Sniper.

  • This is a sick vid, us nucks doin dis crazy shiz

  • What they forgot to mention is as soon as he loaded those .50 caliber rounds he broke international laws of war. Unfortunately he could only use those 50 cals on armored targets, obviously the taliban had very little to no armored vehicles or turrets but he had to do what he had to do to back up the men on the ground and save lives.

  • Honestly I don't know the difference between american and canadian troops uniforms and acccents. If they arn't wearing the flag they seem the same

  • @blackhawk438 when you travel the continent you can tell the differences from someone from canada's east coast and the west and the central or the north and same with the US. It would be like me having trouble seeing the difference in accents between someone in Paris and Marseilles. Also the uniforms used in this video are all american, canadians have their own desert cadpat, when you see them next to each other you can tell, especially if the Canadian is wearing their woodland green.

  • @walkertexasranger33 Oh alright.. From vsiting the north east coast of te US and southen east of cananda I coudn't tell much difference

  • @blackhawk438 yes that region in particular (the maritimes) share a pretty distinct accent, though it differes in the areas of that region

  • @blackhawk438 for instance I can tell furlong is from the canadian mid west in Alberta, the prairies, cowboy country

  • The difference between him and the Vietnam guy was that Carlos Hathcock took one shot to kill the enemy, but this guy took 3.

  • @TheDevenrocks What was Hathcock's elevation, and did he have to worry about different pathing winds?

  • @walkertexasranger33 Hathcocks shot from the ground up using a Vietnam era rifle and he could only see the enemies scope reflecting the sun and making flashes. Furlong was looking down on the taliban with a modern rifle and could see them wide open.

  • craig harrisson of the british household cavalry killed two taliban machine gunners with two shots at a distance of 2475 m.

  • a soldier of the british armys guards division now holds the longest kill shot.

  • Excelent video! Thanks!

    The best is you.

  • czechsanchez01 has it right. The training the Canadians received made it possible to transition from the Canadian .50 cal rounds to the American .50 cal rounds. The entire ballistics envelope is different and to take advantage of that in a combat situation indicates a very high level of training. I've heard that the match ammo our guys were using utilized a 750 gr BT Spitzer and the yank ammo used a 686 gr BT Spitzer. The Canadian team did a helluva job with what they had.

  • @ryza45 Actually nobody has beaten his record yet, it still stands. Two longest shots ever made was by Master Corporal Arron Perry 2,310m and Corporal Rob Furlong 2,430m, OH AND!, BOTH were Canadians :)

  • @COD5LOVER - "Actually", you're wrong.

  • @tojoconfused Prove me wrong son, I did my research, now you do yours.

  • @COD5LOVER - Well, daddy-o, I looked-up 'research' specially; 'search for knowlege'/'systematic investigation'. Suggest punching - longest sniper shot - repeatedly into the font of all human knowledge, wiki-whatsit. There you will find enlightenment, yer lazy sod.

  • @tojoconfused what?

  • @COD5LOVER - wikipedia - Longest_recorded_sniper_kills

  • i love how the reenactment guys are using brit camo not cadpat

  • Hope his mother is real proud of him .She raised a good one there .It was an unjust war which makes him a cold blooded murderer.Well done dick head.

  • @PokervACE1 HAHAHA Terrorist sympathiser, you lose we win, you can die now,... something slow and painful lol

  • during the war in Vietnam. leader of the sniper who the U.S. military has not promoted by the regime effect was completely different combat in Vietnam, as they restrict vision beetles in tropical forests and how ingenious camouflage of the Vietnamese community . sniper can only develop its best effects in the urban battle where terrain or emptiness as in Iraq

  • tiliban got shoot & they looks like happy WTF ?

  • The answer to this amazing kill is that he's very good at maths

  • A British sniper got two Taliban on a motorbike with one bullet. Well the the EU do want lower CO2 emissions. And there's a 50% saving on ammo right there. It's all good.

  • Believe it or not, that record has been broken once again. By a 308 bolt action. I don't know the name but a British sniper killed not on not two but a three man machine gun team at over 2700 yds. But good shot furlong

  • If he had the chey tac intervention with the special weather station computer and a supressor maybe he could have gotten it the first or second chance but good job and thanks for the help.

  • 5 Talibans dont like the Shot

  • HAHAHA at 9:25 his spotter looks at him like "Damn You."

  • SHOT HEAR AROUND THE WORLD. Litearly.

  • GREAT JOB GUYS!

  • hes the best thing to come outa canada since........uh

  • @peglegfury canadian bacon?

  • @peglegfury jim carrey?

  • @haeselian until jim carrey starts talking with his butt again hes off the list

  • Simo Häyhä is still the best of the best!

  • Not sure if it true but didnt the british sniper get both kills with 10 seconds of each other ? Thats the report that came through our camp.

  • Craig Harrison indeed does- British Sniper.

Given the range, I think he is allowed a few shots to get the scope in :P

Plus, 1st shot on he was actually placing on target was a kill shot.

  • lol his spotter i like wtf dude

  • who beat his reacord

  • Robert "For long"

  • @ryza45 Who???

  • @1193800 Craig Harrison now holds the record for longest kill shot. He got two back to back kills without missing one shot.

  • @iSeneX he shot 9 shots to dope the scope in then engaged.

  • @MrDiapond WTF its not about were your from that makes u the best its about being the best behind the gun and at the min a brit holds the record it doesnt mean all brits are the best at sniping!!!

  • @ryza45 nope

that someone took over 7 shots

which means rob furlong still has it so stop it

  • i did calcs, 4 mil hold over at 2.7yards is 32 feet.

  • yes..cuz its a great honour bieng famour for killing somebody..even if it it a pissin taliban

  • who holds the record now?

  • @daxpwn hes british

he took over 7 shots to get it thoug

but it was a nice distacne

  • this got beat last year by a british sniper and he beat it twice 2 shots 2 kills, but i heard hes suing ministry of defence for allowing the story to get out cos as we ve got some sick muslims living in this country his family have had to move house.

  • With sniper out there with One Shot, One Kill mentality, Osama bin laden still hunker it down somewhere in a cave for years to come and we Wait silently.

  • When I'm 18 I'm taking the British army sniper course, I really want to go to afghan now and kill a packie, every time when I walk into st johns mall there's about a hundred packies lined up at the curry bar, but no more!

  • @EllisFitz1995 ummm if u wanna kill "packies" go to pakistan. if ur so tough y dont u show ur racism to the "packies" where u are at the mall... yeah i thought so, so u come on youtube and be a tough guy LOL

Make love, not war my young friend

  • @drunpakhtun hahahahahahahaha shut up u packie, go back to your 3rd world shit box.....Ye I thought so, ur living in the UK or the US so mate please don't talk to me ever again, packie!

  • This record was broken by a British sniper, I think it was 3 miles or something, anyway the packie is dead and no more corner shops will be opening on my street

  • @EllisFitz1995 Craig Harrison ; 2,475 m (2,707 yd) using a L115A3 Long Range Rifle

  • yeah i dont use anything but american made ammunition

  • This record has been beaten by CoH Craig Harrison of the Household Cavalry of the British armed forces. ( Search on wikipedia his name )

  • warm day??? it's like 50 degrees there!

  • @slowframe for most people the military is a inrest but it's just not for them if your really want to join or just thinking about it go to a recruiting office and join the reserve there is no contract and you just have to sign a VR fourm to get out.

  • chuck norris would quickscope all of them... by one shot!

  • i wish my country had soldiers like that...here, they try to shoot a target and shoot themselves

  • @BrunoFreitinhas shut up! u have a nice army

  • Canadian Forces fuck ya! Enlisting soon. Hua. Heard Understood Adknowledged!!

  • Oh, also ive just noticed that people with at least a years worth of experience shooting on one side all seem to have a deformity in their eyes, the shooting eye is open and the non shooting eye is sligtly squinted

  • What people dont realize is this is the only CONFIRMED LONG RANGE KILL. Likely someone else had the same precision, but it was not properly checked

  • Less One :D

  • Canada FTW

  • War porn.

  • I could never imagine killing another person.

  • amazing shot, they always think canadians can't fight a War JTF-2 is still pretty bitching, but yah we need more praise for what we do, god bless the CF and multinational forces

  • Englishman has beaten the record now. Yeah!

  • how come they couldn't just missile al qaeda with their fighter jets? and im being serious

  • @slowframe Good thing not everyones worried about themselves or we would be fucked thats why right after high school im going the marine corp semper fi fuckos.

  • Bullshits just PROPAGANDA.

U.S.A just needed an Sniper on world top.

    What is the prouves ?

  • @Markycelebrity He's a Canadien sniper , they say it 3 secs in the video...

  • @LoNeRaideR1 ok must be my missundestanding. in that case escuse me.

  • If u Honestly dislike this video ur just being a Troll and a hater

  • @slowframe You can Join the Reserves, This is Part time and you will have time to do what ever you want.

  • The sniper looks like a serial killer... The kind you wont let near kids

  • @thuyclides Hate to be the one to inform you but there's no such thing as the look of a serial killer. Oh, and you wouldn't want anyone near a real one, kids or adults genius.

  • The sniper looks like a serial killer

  • you sick fucks. Do you watch snuff movies?

  • Now if that were a Taliban, that'd be a whole other fucking story!

  • This makes war sugar-coated...

  • That Navy SEAL had nothing on ROB.

  • english beat this record

  • @Hazamataz123 Who did?

  • @M14EBRMadman a english sniper called Craig Harrison

  • @Hazamataz123 Yeah, i checked it out, you were right. Pretty amazing :)

  • that was pretty cool! if i was to join the military, that's what i'd like to do if could qualify for it, and maybe train with canadian snipers haha! canadians are cool, theyre nice people too, i mean a lot of them are! i use to live in seattle, washington for almost sixteen years i use to run into people from canada and they were friendly!

  • We took over the Canadians at the Shawali Kot Valley. And we got FUCKED UP apparently the Canadians were not doing the patrols they were suppose to do coz they were pulling out.We ended up playing minesweeper loosing guys every other week.

  • there are not alot of chances where you can shot someone from that far with a clear line of site

  • some british sniper broke his record already by not much though, just very little!

  • @slowframe For every 1 soldier in the front takes 4 others to support him. Or something like that... It's stuck in my head and idk where I remember it from.

  • @slowframe There are so many jobs in the military, where you wouldn't be in the field like you think. I'd look into it regardless man, you might find something you like.

  • @SolitudeDesWolf Well when I think about joining the army it'd be about joining the front line and protecting my brother beside me (Referring every soldier as my brother). Not to protect anyone at home, I could care less because I know they feel the same way about the soldiers. But yeah I would want to join so I could help protect the person charging in right beside me.

  • @slowframe Well that's a awfully noble thing to say and I'm more than sure you mean it. But really my advice to you is, what are you trying to do? What do you want to do for a career assuming it won't be in the military? I wouldn't go straight infantry unless you are completely clueless about what you want to do or if that IS what you want to do. I personally joined because I wanted to get a something extra out of it then just the cool shooting stuff. That's why I chose Civil Affairs(38B).

  • If I was in the field, and this guy was there too but as my enemy. I would be crying.

  • @teknoplayer No, you'd probably be ripped in half by one his rounds :D

  • im happy he's on our side.

  • now thats a great shot !

  • cool

  • Insane.

  • Carlos Hathcock - 1967 - 2286 meters

    Rob Furlong- 2002 - 2430 meters

America held the record for 35 years?!?! Canada is fuckin slow lol
