  • Good Canadian Band!

  • Gordon Lightfoot is the King of Canadian Music IMO

  • i luv this band!!!

  • the lighter thing is from back in the day.. we all did it.... love these guys.... going to see them in 21 days... in edmonton.. can't wait....

  • Excellent

  • I agree, can't people sit still and shut the $@%# up for a damn ballad. Arms waving in the air blocking my view at concerts always pissed me off too. Oh, and a bic lighter that stays lit for about 3 or 4 minutes WILL start these idiots hands on fire. I have seen it twice in 1 concert. Anyway, thank you the 1extremist for a rare glimpse and great memories.

  • LOLOLLL! I know what you mean.......

  • why do people pay goomoney to go to a cancert then dont shut the fuck up

  • I can totally see where you R coming from!!

  • On the other hand, why do singersoften stop singing and stick the mic out towards the audience for them to sing a refrain? We don't pay to hear ourselves sing.

  • jwmellott your an idiot. Bands do this to get you involved. By being involved you become a part of the action making you feel like you belong. It's a feel good thing.

  • @Obelisk2290 i say the same, no class. These are the same jerks that will wonder in 15 years where the good bands went

  • @Obelisk2290 Well maybe they are enjoying the concert ( spelled right) and why should they shut the fuck up? They paid good money( Spelled right ) to see this band and has the right to sing along or talk if they want too.

  • @Obelisk2290 Maybe these people paid good money (spelled right) to see this concert( spelled right) and they should not have to shut the fuck up they paid for their right to be there and can sing or chat about the band if they want to, tell me have you ever went to a live concert and no one said BOO the whole time.

  • @Obelisk2290 Goo Money,LOL!

  • i see this every day of my life. where the love of people for commitment are turn into what feels good for the moment by players for what they can get from it.and heart is broken for years after that time.

  • ya gotta lov aa singer lead guitar player

  • still one of the best power ballads ever written!

  • to this day still one of the most powerful ballads ever! Guess thats why I married a Canadian . French that is!

  • seen them back in 81.AWESOME!!!seen them in a barn at the abbotsford b.c. flea market 2 years ago.small little place. they rocked!!!! even better than 81

  • still as good as they ever were, saw em back in the 80s, one of the better concerts i went to,rock on boys!

  • They sounded Great! Still sounds tight.Well done.

  • remember this well

  • I remember making out with a chick to this in,like ,1981.Wow.Great band.Great song.I.m from the States and I remember buying this album because the singer,Myles had a Montreal Jersey on and I was a big Habs fan as a kid(still am).It is one of my favorite albums ever.

  • is that brian greenway on guitar?

  • @gbluesrocker

    Yup

  • STILL SOUND LIKE THEY DID BACK WHEN...

  • Yeah, it's gotta be either something they're feeding them or something in the air up in Canada. Seriously, check out some recent stuff from Rik Emmett(Triumph), Geddy Lee(Rush)and Mike Reno(Loverboy). All Canadians if I'm not mistaken and they all pretty much have lost very little from when they were in their prime. It's amazing, considering their style of vocals, not to mention the rock & roll lifestyle I'm sure they all engaged in.

  • Did ya like Honeymoon Suite? Or The Guess Who?

  • whats the april wine song

where it starts out with that bell dinging and then the guitar comes in

  • oowatanite

  • are you talkin about YYZ by Rush?

  • I was there, front row centre smoking dubes, it was amazing!

  • Very cool tune. Have always loved it !!!. My question is how many original members are in this video ? Just curious !!! Love it !!!

  • Damn, that's a pretty tight live version, esp. since it was 20+ years since their heyday.Unfortunately they didnt experience the level of success I think they deserved back in the day

  • hazor777, I talked to Myles this Summer and he said they have sold over 25 million records so far... That is quite an accomplishment for any band. (BTW, Myles has given away more $ to charity than most rock stars make in their careers. I'd say him & the band have quite a legacy.)

  • real music, no one can replace, love you guys for over 25 yrs, rock on.

  • good stuff

  • I remember when this song first came out, the blind date that I was on will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in January 09. This is our song.

  • i really love this song. i fell in love with it when my loved one introduced it to me. now we broke up. I still cry everytime i hear this song and miss him badly.

  • Saw them in 74 in Montreal and 81 Vancouver the memories will always be with me. That's the measure of a good band to me.

  • GREAT Voice! It takes a special Canadian sweet boy to deliver this kind of vocal performance -- rarely found anymore. . . Like fine wine.

    Peace

  • saw them last summer, always wanted to, was amazing!!

  • I love this song, when my parents got married this was our father-daughter dance :)

  • thanks for posting this, my first EVER concert was this band, thanks for the memory/flas-back!

  • there you are my april wine.....sweet sweet song just between you and me and all of us..

  • this song is for my wife my life my Dawn

  • is the singer the only original?

  • I don't know.. But if you look at the 1981 concert on here he doesn't play the lead on the guitar... Weird but he kicks ass on vocal and lead..

  • * ORIGINAL singer since 1969,

    * same drummer since 1973,

    * same guitarist (front & left) since 1977.

"This" bassist ran from 72 to 76, then again from 92 to 06.

The guitarist in back was part of the live show, but only for a few months.

[*] = also appear in the 1981 video mentioned above.

  • takes me back to High School. Thanks for posting and thank you CAN for putting out great music.

  • One of the best guitar solo in soft rock history. This is "Just between you and me"

  • " a love that seems strong that was not to be,."

the lyrics of my love,...great song,..thanx for posting it !!

  • rls says brings me back to a long time ago

  • Wow, this was on the radio the other day and I was almost late going back from lunch because I cranked it, I had not heard it in so long. This version is nice to hear...but it doesn't do justice to the album.

No matter what the song is a true classic.

  • I first heard this on XM radio. It's a shame I never heard it growing up in the eighties.

  • did you grow up in a bubble?

  • did you grow up,in the 90's crap music

  • i gew up in the 90s and i LOVE april wine.

    i love claasic rosk

  • I agree with hotdog1960, a very good song!!!

  • One of my most favorite songs of all time! I would request this song when a nice looking girl caught my eye. It worked every time!!! Those were the best of times.

  • I thought it was pretty good. I remember my sister and her friends laying out by the pool listening to April Wine and Aldo Nova

  • Sounds good!!! Brings back memories of my teenage years. What kind of camcorder did you use?

  • this is the best April Wine video on YouTube.

  • have to smile when remembering the good old days

  • ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song...stands the test of time...awesome to see them live on a summer's eve with a cold one in hand.

  • Man, they sound as good as they did when i seen them in 81[ with my dad], this is a fantastic band..

  • This song gets me right there EVERY TIME!!! Possibly the most beautiful power ballad ever written with KICK-ASS GUITAR SOLOS!! Myles is still good-looking (he was a hottie BITD) Lucky dude!!

  • Great song...great band name...april wine...love it!

  • Love this song!

  • I just wish the other 1970's video of this song wasn't taken off this site! I love the VINTAGE footage! Damn those corporate F**KS!

  • they still have great harmonies...this band stands up

  • UGHH, those were not even close harmonies! They slopped their way through the whole song. I love April Wine but that squawking background singing sucks ass! Jerry kicks ASS! I was in a band that opened for them once back in the late 90's and they were one of the worst bands we ever supported. They had a fill in drummer for Jerry, and the guitar playing made CC Deville look like Steve Vai! Regardless of that, I still listen to the Wine all the time!

  • This song was one of their best....Great tune good over all....
