the only people who will play expert here are real guitar players with years of experience. it takes a few days to get used to basic chords, it takes a few days to get used to alternate picking, it takes a few weeks to learn the notes on the fretboard... its just a bit too much for a game.

Here's going to be the problem..... this won't be just hitting 5 buttons anymore, you will basically have to remember EVERY SONG. And for a beginner to pick up a real guitar and start playing... it won't go very well..and they will probably get frustrated and stop playing. And for the people saying that people who've said "why don't you play a real guitar" can shut up...it will take you YEARS before you get any good...I know... i've been playing for 4 years...You don't become good overnight...

i think this guitar is great and very innovative. as a game controller it's a step above the5 button guitar. as a guitar it is very lackluster. one pickup and one volume knob is not good. i prefer to get the plastic mustang pro guitar (which transmits midi) and then play the parts on my real guitar.

@vincent0176 Yes, hence the "Pro" modes in RB3. They use the official tabs for the Pro mode charts for the guitar. Essentially, if you can FC (Full combo) a song on RB3 on Pro, then you can plug your guitar into a real amp and play the same song IRL.
