  • Hey guys. I'm battling from schizophrenia. I'm not asking for money or views or anything, but just for support and for people to hear me out. My psychiatrist said to let people know about your problem, but everyone thinks I'm weird and my family cannot understand or take me seriously. I made a blog about my problems, and I hope we can talk on there. My blog is battlingschizophrenia.blogspot.com . Fellow schizophrenics, you should also come. We can fight the battle together.

  • no one can put it in the sentence. they go on for 10 minutes. even dr phil can't explain it. he just went on and on.

what every you say or do will be a an illness. do not answer anyone question. they will try anything to diagnose. if you did not shave. if you watch tv late at night. no joke. it sick.do not be hustled by these creeps. if you need time alone and someone makes call on you. watch out. you have a negative symptom.if they smirk at you smirk back. there scum!

  • @CliveGains80s This is a serious condition. You're not being sarcastic?

  • I think Im showing signs of schizophrenia, and I dont know who I should tell, my wife, my father or my best friend.

  • I remember when I was young, my grandma was dating this guy, and I would hang out with him all the time and we'd play video games together like starcraft, yu gi oh, etc. But then he developped Schizophrenia and my grandma dumped him because he didn't want to take his pills. And there went my favorite childhood "friend"

  • My aunt has schizophrenia. She does come across as shy at first, but once you get to talking to her, she is a really kind and loving person who really cares about her family. She is also a very good cook :)

  • Is there ANYTHING that this guy is really certain of? I hear 'maybe' and 'sometimes' but I get the idea he isn't sure about anything to do with schizophrenia. He says 'medications that are used' and correctly does not say that they actually work: this is not known at present, and most probably they just intoxicate the patient to the point that overt symptoms disappear and the patient is no longer able to indicate that they are suffering.

  • I have a eye problem but it has been proved, (search up Visual Snow, it gets worse in sunlight and when I do exercise) and I stay in my bedroom for all of the day most of the time watching YouTube videos (sad i know, I don't enjoy doing it, it just wastes away my day). I have been suffering with anxiety & depression for years, I am extremely reluctant about going anywhere and I don't socialize or even talk to my family much, (I do want to though).

  • i have schizophrenia, and it sucks. I am on geodon and it helps but the side effects kill me. everyday i feel like i am going through withdrawls. If i am late on taking the drug ibreak out into sweats and start to get paranoid. i am also extremely tired every day.But atleast i am not hearing voices and trying to commit suicide. People should understand that with this condition we have no control over it. Every time i had an episode i never remeber what i did during that time.

  • @synthetikcheese only ignorant people use the term nut mate ... i personally am not scizophreic but i have expearianced drug induced psychosis and it is just terrible ... i wish you and your uncle all the best =]

  • I lost my brother 2 years ago , who most likely was schizophrenic. We'll never know for sure because he had isolated himself , refused to have any contact with anyone including myself , (alltho I was pretty close with him before.) He clearly had issues with events from the past and was often depressed and I recall a few occasions where he had told a story that turned out to be completely fabricated. They found him on his bed in a clean appartment. No signs of violence or drugs. Rest In Peace bro

  • There is no business in curing, only treating. I'm on Seroquel for Bipolar and I feel that it has begun to take its toll.

  • i was diagnosed with schizophrenia 2 year ago =/

  • i have it ow yeah i can't do anything about it. i'm crazy and affected for life, no future no job no family only art and writing.

  • I was diagnosed with a brief phycotic episode. took myself off medication..it killed me as well as my problems. I still have the problems. nobody knows, told my friends i just get anxious in large groups sometimes! I lost my job because of the episode. now at college expecting A-A* in maths and physics so at least my brain works well one way! im working, no danger to myself or anyone else, although life is very tough sometimes!! but better than meds. im very social and active.. on meds im dead

  • Yeah, people do spend very little time in hospital because of the drugs they give to them. That's what modern society is. It wants to cure you as fast as possible and put you back to school or work or whatever. By curing I mean only removing the symptoms, not the cause of them which probably is the society itself. Neuroleptics or antipsychotics are pretty much the most potent drugs there are. They can make anyone feel very bad and zombie-like. There are tons of side effects on the brain body.

  • my god...the symtptoms..you describe.....is in every other person.......bases upon a reaction to....a scizo cosiety....real scitzofrenia.....is nothing,but a demonisation...,,,,in tibet and india...they cure it....with....excorcism....working well.....and medication....destroys people even more.......you are a joke.....chemical inbalance in brain.......hasnt been prooved.....its an eevention....to sell medication.....

  • I hate antipsychotics. They are irritating and they drain me. They make me without personality. How yucky.

  • they never get better . they are functional as long as they stay busy

  • @123demaio Well thats lovely to hear. It'll never really go away. What a great message to put out there, maybe someone reading that will accept it'll never go away and incorporate that into their life when if they believed it will go away then it would.

  • i think my roommate has schizophrenia

  • my grandpa has schizophrenia. he thinks that his new neighbor is letting the air out his tires. and hel'll take his car up to the tire place to see if there is any less air than there was the day b4 that... he used to not b this bad but his son(my uncle) just died and stress makes it worse.

    :(

  • yap ur so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i have psychosis

  • Careful what you say they might just come lock you up lol

  • Yeah i'm iffy about this type of psychologist. So PROFESSIONAL about peoples minds. I'm sure his intentials are good, and he's well read, and experienced..

But like previously mentioned, how often do medications actually work!?

acceptance and loving is all i've found that works for anything really. Love it all, even if you're crazy, love that you're crazy.

I think people just get scared which makes it a "problem" I feel like that probably comes from societies label on it.

  • WOW! well I seriously hope that no one signs you up as a proxy. Sorry but holding someones hand and saying I'm here for you, wont make the chemical imbalance in the brain go away. The reason its a problem is because the brain isn't functioning as it should. Hearing voices that aren't there is never a good thing. It inhibits one's ability to function and take care of themselves and others, regardless of society. My grandmother was schizophrenic,

  • Well, I've heard 6 voices 24/7 since I was a child. I'm not on any medication and I have a diagnosis. I have anxiety, OCD, and severe depression at times as well, but I take good care of myself, my mother, my father and his gf, my two brothers, and they know I love them. I visit my friends, I go shopping, I'm studying to get a job. Who are you to tell me I can't do all those things that I'm already doing?

  • @CreepNarrator Everyone needs a friend and support system... chemical imbalance, yes most of the time TRUE, but that doesn't mean someone isn't benifited by having an emotional support system, just because your grandmother had schizophrenia doesn't mean that her case or whatever you experienced is true for everyone

  • @CreepNarrator no you dont really understand what it is, socializing can help schizophernic people. having a chemical imbalance increases the chances of being schizophernic

  • I agree with you that not all people who might be schizophrenic necessarily suffer from it. Like you said, it's a different perception of the surrounding. There are, however, also people who benefit from medical therapies, - but I'm not entirely sure about the ladder, since I've never seen anyone been 'cured'.

  • What a terrible affliction, very informative.

  • very interesting!
