Saw it in 3D last night w/ friends. Everybody enjoyed it & wants to see it again. We enjoyed the effects, romance, action, drama & storyline. I rarely buy movie dvds, but this is definitely a movie I want to own. We all left the movie theater smiling & feeling the positive energy.

Anatar for best film??? Doubtful! Highly doubtful! Not just the most overrated film of all time but also an awful performance delivered from the ususlly capable Sigourney Weaver. That aussie guy's performance was very banal to say the least (have no idea what all the fuss is about him!). Will there be a part 2? Of course there will for as long as the population on this planet continues falling for "hype" which get bums on cinema seats....

If you have seen it and dont like it then you are in a small minority.

There are many intelligent people who rate this film as one of the best ever but you must be super intelligent as you see what they dont ????

I have to agree, but I enjoyed the movie also, because I had the feeling that it just easily reflects how humanity over and over repeats faults, coming of greedyness.

I also think the movie contains something for each interest, there was romance, there was adventure, fantasy, science fiction, drama...like...everything.

And personally I think that the "wow"-effect as mentioned from susellee is the 3D work and in generel the real-looking creatures and backgrounds.

I don't want to be like the aliens. Cameron is out of touch. He makes money but Avatar was garbage.

Its an OK movie, but there was something missing. I wish there was a "wow" moment in the story. I was wow with the 3D but the story lack the "I am your father" moment or the "Oh no, the planet of the apes its Earth!" That is why to me its an OK movie.

The details, of course! The visuals are pretty neat in 2D, but if you watch the movie in 3D, you notice small details that the animators took time & effort to put in :) It's simply breath-taking!
