  • Typical russian behavior.

  • I had trouble seeing it at first, but yes. That was a clear redirect by the right foot. Unintended I am sure, but she never said anything (even though she HAD to feel a hard shot on her foot) and the other team didn't notice, so she got away with it. I hope they didn't win.

  • @CycloneGU it is still cheating if ya dont say any thing bout it

  • @Jmarsfan28 - I agree. But it wasn't caught by anyone, much less someone who SHOULD have caught it: the official in charge of the game. They cheated and got away with it. It happens in sports, unfortunately. Happens in hockey all the time with an uncalled penalty; if your favourite hockey player gets slammed by an illegal hit and the ref doesn't call it, it's the same thing.

  • @CycloneGU Curling rarely has official but this sence it is im guessing something big then there really should be some

  • For those who dont see it, at 0:12 it looks like she lifts her foot a bit. Maybe it's just the camera angle though.

  • @hafaball Yeah, the cheat with her foot is at 0:12

  • Did they get called out for it after or is this just something someone noticed in the aftermath?

  • i dnt see it.....

  • i had to watch it a few times before i could see the cheat. What a noob L:)

  • Fucking dirty rotten communist whore

  • The shot probably would have been better if she didn't kick it. The shooter would have rolled behind cover. By kicking it she also risked jamming the red stone on the yellow stone in the back 8ft and rolling the shooter into the open. Not only did that team cheat, they're also not too smart.

  • @SuperJetch Yeah but looking at how far over it was and how far over it would have been it might have picked the stone and rolled out at best.

  • The shot probably would have been better if she didn't kick it. The shooter would have rolled behind cover. By kicking it she risked jamming the red stone on the yellow stone in the back 8ft and rolling the shooter into the open. They cheat AND they're dumb.

  • i dident see it

  • @masterofcola ya same

  • @masterofcola Watch the Russian sweeper's foot on the left hand side of the rock just before the rock reaches the house. She nudges it right with the outside of her foot.

They wanted you not to see it. XD

  • @onmyHONOUR what color is the russians cuz i still dont see it

  • @masterofcola The Russians are the ones wearing white, and the ones throwing the rock in this shot. Their rock colour is yellow.

  • I really am dumb! I somehow posted 3 times too! I'm on a roll!

  • i must be dumb! I can't see the point where she cheated! Can someone help me out?

  • i must be dumb! I can't see the point where she cheated! Can someone help me out?

  • I must be dumb! I can't see where they cheated!!! Can someone point it out to me please?????

  • 35 people are russians

  • lol surprised the other skip didnt see that

  • @MrGoforthewin She saw it. They where talking about it after...

  • its exactly 0:11 when the left sweepers right foot hits the stone

  • damn commies kicking their rock cause they crank their shots

  • ALSO. Jahnig is as dirty as the russians cheating

  • I am confused by this video.

I enjoy to watch curling but that is about as far as my knowledge of the sport goes.. is the issue that the stone stops dead when it hits the red stone????

  • @safemalk

The issue is that the left sweeper's right foot physically moved the rock (illegal move or burning of the stone) back so that it would still hit the rock they were trying to remove. Touching a rock while it's moving isn't allowed.

    Watch carefully at 0:11

  • @MrRobeeno thank you, I know the rules of play but i didn't spot that when I watched it before, much appreciated.

  • this is unbelievable ... and they treat it like nothing happened after ... and the other team is all like what on earth just happened? poor girls ... so not cool

  • I've burnt lots of rocks but at least I tell the other team's skip

  • @idislikecheaters Is it the person in red shirt? Or white shirt? i cant see which one moved foot, i replayed 2 times, and i cant still see who move foot... :(

  • @begaleysdad it is between 0:10 and 0:14 watch the left sweepers (white shirt) foot move the rock while it is moving

  • these girls wpuld be good for hand jo----

  • Toilet cleaning is a sport too then. Demands lots of physical work, a lot of endurance and tactical.

  • only russia would do that because they are gay full of shit and suck niggers dicks

  • If you think curling is not a sport go play a tournament play more than 4 game a day 12 bout each . curling is physical event if you don't think so. When you need to play for more than 10 hours a day you need to be in good shape and when the game is made about tatic skill and something you need to control your strength cause there is no benchwarmer to tag next when you give it all in 3 min ( like most of sports)

  • what a liar, there's no way you wouldnt notice that hitting your foot

  • People should just recognize curling as a sport and leave it at that. Why isn't it a sport? no running? no physical contact? Not every sport have those things. And does anyone question if something like bobsledding is or isn't a sport? They run in the beginning to get the sled going and that's about it. So I find it really unfair for the curlers and the sport of curling... Just saying.

  • Yea, just like Auto racing... they train just as hard as any other sport, if not more.

  • Yeah! Haters, curling is a sport! I'll always support curling, because I LOVE curling,I play it and it is sport! Im on your side! :) <3 Go AWAY haters! <3 Curling

  • @KawaiiHatori by my definition of sport, is a game that is both physically demanding, skill oriented and tactical. i dont deny curling as being tactical or skill oriented, and it might even be fun and have a community surrounding it, but it isn't a sport. Thats just my viewpoint.

  • @KawaiiHatori Poker is a sport ;)

  • I think it doesn't qualify as a sport because both parties are not playing the game at the same time; rather, they are taking turns.

  • @bpclips This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If players must play at the same time, then how are archery, bobsledding, luge, golf, diving, figure skating, show jumping, surfing, ski jumping, freestyle skiing, half-pipe snowboarding and skeleton sports? Your reasoning is stupid.

  • @Suki278 Those are not sports; just games. Games and sports and different; sure, you can play them, and yes they require lots of skill but they are not "sports". Sports are just a subsection within games.

  • @KawaiiHatori Agree. If curling isn't a sport than neither is archery or golf.

  • @KawaiiHatori Exactly, I can't just see why people can't just call it a sport, obviously the ones that are saying that haven't tried it. Although sadly you are not going to change their mind about it though, for example if I pointed at the floor and said that is the floor, yet someone comes over and says "no it's not it is the wall" if that is what they believe I can't change that. Now, I would probably argue that they were wrong for quite a while, but eventually give up. Same thing here.

  • @KawaiiHatori Thank you, that was very thoughtful. I hate when people say curling is not a sport, and it hurts my feeling because how would they like it if I said hockey isn't a sport ( I know it is), people would get pretty mad at me. So, just because, like you said, no physical contact, it doesn't matter. You have to have a lot of upper body strength and strong legs, so, it's actually pretty diffcult.

  • @KawaiiHatori I personally think a sport is a "game" that challenges someone ( strenght, precision, psychologic, etc) by example, car racing can be considered more as a sport as curling, but you're sitting on a seat! Same thing for checkers or golf. It's not all about jumping 2 or 3 meters high or lifting 100 kg with your pinky.

    Of course, it's my opinion

  • @KawaiiHatori Running is not something that defines an activity to be a sport for example judo has no running involved with it.Curling is not a sport because it's a fucking joke.

  • @abvgdejziukl Clearly you've never played.

  • @abvgdejziukl your an idiot

  • @KawaiiHatori thank you

  • Curling is interesting. I like how they can make the stone move directions by sweeping and how they can make it can be so precise and accurate. But it isn't always interesting. Like at the Olympics I thought it was interesting but it was probably because those are some of the best teams in the world. ..Yay for Team Martin!

  • nice catch.... she did kick it but it looked by accident... she moved to miss the rock on her left as she did her right foot hit the moving rock and did change its travel path.... in the end it was going to take it out anyway ...

  • shut up troll

  • Sorry, musicposer4you.

  • wow, that really hurts.

  • lol@Bak3dB3an.

It was such a blunt nudge to the rock at 12 seconds in lol.

And anyone bashing curling, why are you taking the time to come to this video then? People who like it watch this video, and people who don't like it should be like the other "6 trillion" people in the world and watch soccer...

  • took me a couple times to pick up on it, but u can definitely see it, damn ruskies lol

  • At first I couldn't see it, but yeah if keep your eye on the stone they're actually sweeping, she nudges it with her right foot. Looked deliberate too.

  • 6 trillion?? LMFAO

  • Did the conservatives make this sport? WHY THE FUCK AM I CALLING IT A SPORT?

I hope their families disown them if they ever go public playing this shit.

  • wow

  • Curling goes back to Scotland in the 1500s... and while it's not my favourite sport, I realize that there is a great deal of skill and strategy required. As they say, "don't knock it till you've tried it." If you have no interest in trying, it fair enough, but stop being an ass about it.

  • It happens at 0:12 . The rock changes its way clearly.

  • she moved it around, that would never have made her kick the rock unless she did it intentionally

  • its FUCKING CURLING!!! LMFAO @ u dumb fucks arguing about it lolz

  • other dumb fucks argue about shitty games like soccer...

  • Shitty game like soccer? Why is it the most popular sport on earth then??

6 trillion people can't be wrong.

  • dang.... curling must be popular in a shit load of planets then

  • I'm sorry to tell you this but there isn't even 6 trillion people on Earth. There is 6 billion (about) and many don't even watch Television. So no it is not the most popular sport on Earth. It shouldn't even be called a sport.

  • lol...

Many people might not watch TV but football is played in the most remote street in the most remote village in the most remote town of the most remote city of the most remote country on earth... And corection.. it is the most popular...

  • actually, technically speaking, CATCH is the most popular.

  • current est population 9.8 billion

  • @orchote

    dumme americunt

  • Except golf.

  • Comment removed

  • The supposed cheating took place long before any stones hit the hack. It takes place moments before the takeout itself.

Watch the left sweeper's right foot as she tries to navigate around the corner guard. Does she kick the shooter into the shot rock? I've watched it about ten times and am not totally convinced that she did.

  • looks like her shoes had traction most of the way and then when the "cheat" happened she simply hit a slick spot on the ice. The "jittery" motion of her foot does not look deliberate.

However! Someone else said that she certainly would have felt that and should have confessed to accidentally hitting it.

  • moreso, if you notice her center of gravity, the REASON her right foot slips is at the exact time her left foot leaves the ground to go over the other stone. So she was "walking" and now all of a sudden she's lifted her left foot up about 12 inches over the other stone, which would obviously put a significant weight shift onto her right foot, causing the slip!

  • at 12 seconds the left sweeper kicks the moving rock with her right foot to adjust its course slightly

  • She touched the moving rock with her foot right before it hit the one standing still. Changed the direction a bit.

  • correct me if im wrong but when the stone goes past the target, you are supposed to push it to the side. thats not cheating

  • no only if it hits either of the sidebars will it be a dead rock

  • if your talking about at 0:16 its legal

  • at 12 seconds, right?

  • i dont see it. which rock is it??

  • touched it with her foot! dirty cheater!

  • Took me like a million times to see it... lol.

  • Looks deliberate I agree... However I'm quite sure it would have hit the stone anyways, creating the same result

  • @foreverach yes...even when i dont have experience it made me think

    1. if she did that not on purpose she is stupid, casue there was not difficult there

    2. if she did it on purpose she is even more stupid casue the "rock" didnt needed any redirection of trayectory....(and i think the penalty 4 doing this may be hard)

(maybe she tried to simply push the stone to give it more power to hit the "enemys" stone......but idk cause i never played this)

  • took me like,8 times to see. it looked deliberate to me

  • Lol this video is suddenly being viewed alot because of the olympics.

  • @Lange007 thats why I'm watching it lol, i was searching for eve muirhead and ended up here somehow

  • yeah, whoa whoa whoa. those dirty cheaters.

  • wow...it toook me like 10 times to see it!

  • Same here, she did touch it, it even changed direction if you watch close enough.

  • Looked like an accident. The kind of accident that after it happens you realize it helped you out and hope no one saw it

  • at 0.12 she kicked it, did the olympic comittee do some action about this already?

  • at 0:13 she hits it with the side of her right foot

  • it is there but it's hard to see

  • Yeah... they should have owned up to it them Russians lol

  • it changed the trajectory and it obviously helped her team. she is a dirty cheater. dirty.

  • wow. it took me a couple times, but that was definitely her kicking the rock. not sure if it was an accident, but i'm sure she knew she did it.

  • i still dont get it...someone please explain

  • if you touch the rock after it has been released it is an illegal rock and does not count and the throw is invalid and you lose your turn. By kicking it the way she appears to have it moved differently than it was going to, benefiting them more than it would otherwise have.

  • Took me a few times of watching to see it, but it looks clear.

  • Yes...was curling left till the nudge and then when it hit the rock it didn't deflect like it should have it stayed right there!

  • if it was cheating it was the least useful cheat I've seen.

  • @deesies You prob didnt notice, but the left sweeper nudged the stone (the one that was just thrown) so instead of hitting another stone on the side, she nudged it so it hit it dead on, thus making the thrown rock stop dead instead of bouncing of to the side

  • Look at the hi-5 afterwards...anyone who has curled knows you would have felt contact sufficient to change the rock's path like that. Sportsmanship dictates that you 'fess up in a situation like this. Dirty curling.

  • Those sneaky Russian bastards!!! Leave it to the black Russian to cheat!!!

  • @BubbaHoTep01 hahaha i like

  • i was about to comment saying it WOULD be the black one.. but u already got it lmao

  • It's understandable ... burnt rocks are inevitable. But cheating when it does happen... I say boot 'em out of the tourney and give 'em a year or two off. Cheating is for baseball players. As curling commissioner, I'd sew a big red "C" on the back of their jackets for their first year back. Who's gonna cheat now?

  • bad ass quality cant prove anything

  • The trajectory of the rock completely changes.

  • It was BA quality, wasn't it?!?!! Good quality!

  • Typical russian fucks.

  • cheat...

  • Yeah she did kick the rock (:11-:12 sec frame, you could see the trajectory of the rock change) accidentally I think because she was trying to avoid the guard.....but definitely a burnt rock...she should have said something.

  • Her right foot was definitely behind the shooter, but its hard to tell if she actually kicked it or not. It doesn't look to me like she is. Thats a bad angle to look at it from though. And the other team didn't say anything either.

  • I hate cheaters!!!!!!

  • To those who still don't see it: DON'T look at the stationary rocks. Look at the MOVING rock.

  • what??

  • omg

  • Oh...ok i saw it, i was looking at the girl standing there. thanks

  • WHAT?!? I dont see it!??! I dont know shit about curling, but i didnt see it , is it when she steps over it?

  • jk i see it now.

  • I dont see shit.... Iv watched it like 10 times now.

  • At what time did she do it? I dont see it?

  • Yeah. She bumps it and it hits right in the middle.

  • woah, I was going to say.

shouldn't that have jammed on the yellow rock at the back?... because of the way it was curling. But then I read the info and it is REALLY visible. I really don't like the Russians for doing this and not saying anything. Cheaters.

  • you can see they cheated where the rock goes to right more..

  • dont u love the russians

  • Sadly they did cheat as I was there playing against these girls, at the Europeans in Basel 2006, and saw it all :-S

  • They really only hurt themselves by cheating, they didn't get the roll behind cover and left the same shot a little further ahead of the Teeline, if the opposition can get a little tuck they will be in great shape.

  • I know!!! THe ting... in da ting...

  • Actually if she hadn't decided to kick the rock it would have rolled over on top of the red rock leaving denmark an easy open hit to lie two. It's quite disgusting to see people do this.

  • What would have happened is debatable. The rock was cutting hard enough that it could have only wicked off the Danish rock, leaving it in the rings, and possibly split off the side Russian rock leaving Denmark counting two, or it could have rolled wide, or out altogether. Certainly, the Danes would not have faced a double.

Point is that the choice is the Danish skip's, and cheating just announces to the world how trustworthy you are.

  • Sadly they did cheat as I was there playing against these girls, at the Europeans in Basel 2006, and saw it all :-S

  • Sadly they did cheat as I was there playing against these girls, at the Europeans in Basel 2006, and saw it all :-S

  • woow she kicked. did she do it intentionally?

  • it looked more like an attempted kick to me, did it even move?

  • It actually made the shot worse, she was gonna hit and roll behind the corner, but instead she just nose hit it.

  • they probably wanted a small role anyways but its difficult to tell with the blury scoreboard and not knowing what rock but they did have hammer you can see

  • damn Fan let'em know!

  • If you cannot see the redirect in this video then you must be fuckin blind. The shot was going to hit quarter rock left of nose and then 1 second later its right on the nose? Intentional or not ( and their second has admitted that she did it) if you touch a rock it comes of play. You ppl are hopelessly clueless lol

  • She put her leg over and that is not called kicking fucking umpires.

  • even if she did kick it wich u can't tell it wouldn't havemade much diff the shot woiuld have still hit fine .... and if she did kick it theres so many ppl watching it would have been noticed

  • it would have rolled thought they wanted it to stick

  • its up to the team to admit it though, and if she was throwing the inside out turn it wouldnt of hit and stuck there. curlings a gentlemens game n no matter what u should tell the other team n let them decide if it was a big deal or not, it wasnt that big of a burn so usually if ur open about it and it didnt affect the shot too much they might just let it go.

  • fucking dirty cheaters

  • "fucking dirty cheaters"

Russians do have a track record of cheating at various international competition:

1962: Candidates Chess tournament at Curacao; agreeing to short draws in games played against each other, etc.

1972: Summit Series; one-sided officiating against Canada during four games in Moscow

2002: Winter Olympics; figure skating judging scandal

However, I don't believe the curling rock in the video was one of those deliberate examples.

    It looked incidental at worst.

  • you dont sound smart, if thats what you were trying to do

  • "you dont sound smart, if thats what you were trying to do"

I wasn't trying to sound smart. I was merely responding to a post.

For one thing, I'm a curler; so I know this sport.

Second, judging by the comments people have left on your channel, and the calibre of videos you have as your favourites; you are of nothing but a pre-pubescent mentality.

So whether or not I sound smart to you is of no concern to me; because your lack of credibility makes your post irrelevant.

  • "again, you dont sound smart at all, so just give it up"

Kid, what is your problem with my posts and no one else's? Have you ever even thrown a curling stone? What makes you so sure about everything?

You've done nothing to refute my claims; so it is you who should give it up.

  • "...I dont know how its posible, but you just sound dumber and dumber everytime you post. so just save yourself some embaresment and stop"

Keep making me laugh, kid. Not only do you dodge my questions, but you offer nothing but rhetoric.

You are a troll and haven't a clue of what you're talking about.

Maybe you should go to a real school and learn some spelling and punctuation.

  • "oh and i guess you can judge my intelligence by how i type?"

No; your repetitive, empty cheap shots epitomize that for you.

You are nothing but a parasite who leads a meaningless existence. You probably leave the same posts on other videos strictly to annoy people; because you have nothing better to do with your hollow life.

You're probably a kid with mental issues as well; so don't even bother responding to this post because I will no longer waste my time on you.

  • lol it might have been a mistake

  • commies! that's not cricket! well, i should say, that's not curling!...

  • wow i like how she high fived her teammate right after

  • what time did she kick it

  • commies

  • Yeah... i don't think it could ever be intentional. I mean... it is very hard to be sweeping so hard... and have the presence of mind to know exactly where the stone is going to hit. and know that you need to tap a stone over just the right amount... say you do try to do it intentionally, what most likely happens is that you miss the shot entirely... but with that said... there is no way she didn't feel the stone hit her foot. and should have called a burnt stone on herself

  • ya she had to hav felt it and ur supposed to call when u burn a rock
