  • Frank Zappa : The first music troll , this is amazing

  • we stoners in the sixties would trip-out and listen to this and laugh our ass off! LOL

  • sounds like the jelly fish and company from a spongebob episode

  • I remember tu! tu! I remember tu! tu! they had a .. Swiming poool!!! that killed me!!

  • why would some one dislike this?

  • "What if they freaked out in Minnesota?" -- well, they did and elected Bachmann. The really weird thing is, two of the people who moaned on this track are still at it. Check out the video of Dicey and Paprika's savage deconstruction of "Edge of Seventeen"...

  • It can't happen HERE!!

    I'm telling you my DEAR!!

Reminds me so much of my stepfather

  • Been a long time. My vinyl of this is long gone

  • Frank was all about the anit- . . . whatever. The father of the goof. If it was to sound a certain way, he went the other way. What a way. HA!

  • GET THE FUCK OUT OF MINNESOTA, RUSTY

  • that's in MONO!

  • Gonna get a tv dinner and cook it up!! I remember doo duh....they had a swimming pool.

    Absolutely hilarious

  • I love it! Love it! This album was WAY ahead of its time.

  • Writing a lyrics sheet for this would be impossible. Lol

  • and frank was anti drugs aswell.

  • At 3:02, I heard this chick clucking away like a hen.

  • @CnRDirt Someone doesn't understand the genius of what is called Frank Zappa.

  • @CnRDirt LOL he's actually serious

  • A miracle of sorts I noticed about this song: it exactly mimics the "melody" and chord changes in Prelude To The Genesis Suite by Arnold Schoenberg. Will try posting this to proove it.

  • @pvelectric I'd believe it. Zappa said that he wrote some twelve-tone music but found it to be too limiting. And the piano duo early in could be transplanted to "Civilization Phaze III" without sounding out of place.

  • @jackal59 I've a feeling Zappa will still be listened to a hundred years from now, and his work will only grow as especially classical music expands. thanks for your info and insight.

  • Just me and my pygmy pony over by the dental floss bush.

  • @AllWalksofLife movin to Monta soon gonna be a dental floss tycoon!!

  • I remember being stoned and playing this album and " it cant happen here." this was 1969, and I laughed myself stupid. frank really knew how to mess with the head. actullay it was all tougne in cheek. he felt much of what sold commercially was worthless. his objective was to show just how bad it could be and still sell. his genius is revealed in that he can bad really good!

  • i played that song in public and the people were annoyed!

  • @BlueSoulJim I try to whenever I can, the other day someone recognized it, it made my day

  • @BlueSoulJim

Me too, they've got it on the jukebox in my local snooker club.

I remembered it from mothermania. Does tend to polarise opinion like no other ;-)

  • it already happened while you were buying that four door diesel pick-up. step on that peddle and listen that exhaust, wow you must be a real man. now go kill somebody for the banksters half way round the world to prove it.

  • everybodys clean and it wont happen here

  • We are completed protected by the The TEA PARTY... it will never happen here or in Kansas

  • (Mi-mi-mi mi-mi-mi mi-mi

  • @pacnwcomre I never really thought of the Doors as being avant-garde, considering all the bands playing in the same genre at the time, the pschedelic rock sound. I totally agree with the Zappa part though.

  • Suzie, we've been very interested in your development.

  • @61dodgelancer Forget it!

  • @BrokenChair88 Ha, ha, you nailed it! Ah, a little nostalgia for the old folks.
