  • Irish and bluegrass elements mixed together on this one !

    from Matt

  • love both versions...neither is better just diffrent

  • Great rockin' version! I can't wait going on my holiday to Ireland and Scotland!!

  • As not a Dubliner, I'd say yes, but I still love the original, the lyrics say it all, the tempo suits my rock lifestyle more. The lyrics touch base if you drive a shovel for a living. God bless the Irish and their ability to write great songs. (not you Bono, obviously)

  • @DerMitten certainly not bono.

  • I love these guys!!! Belly Up Tavern, Young Dubliners and a tall, cold Pabts...LOL!! Good times!

  • They almost, and I do say: ALMOST - make me forget The Pogues; the same love and gusto for traditional tunes brought to us in a rocky way. Good show!

  • @TheOBOM Too right, bye bye pogues

  • wow i love i t BRING IT ON

  • WOW i love it BRING IT ON!!!!

  • i dont know who the singer but without the guitar an the other instuments he would be a great raw singer

  • it still needed the spoken part at the beginning but still quite good

  • AWESOME SONG

  • I would'nt say it's a better version than the original Dubliners version...but it's certainly different and I enjoy it tremendously...lovely fiddling melody

  • this is my favorite song hands down. thanks for uploading.

  • this is pretty good

  • may i risk saying this is better than the dubliners' version?

  • @kennybase1 You may, good sir. You may. And I shall stand with you on that.

  • @kennybase1 Of couse :)

May I risk agreeing with you?

  • @kennybase1 are u crazy? ronnie drews version is 100 times better

  • @shinners1989 Ronnie is great, but everyone's entitled to their opinions.

  • @kennybase1 can't compare The Dubs to the Young Dubliners, both are great in their own way! I prefer The Dubs, but the Young Dubliners are great as well!

  • @kennybase1

Well as a Dubliner i'd say- "No you may fucking not."

But you're entitled to your opinion, so have a jar and we'll say no more about it so.

  • @kennybase1 risk what you like its your opinion but this to me is rubbish jiggy leprechaun clubby type irish music which has no soul!

  • @afertyus1000 No, that's not offensive in any way.

  • @BarbaricGoose no i hope i'm not offending anyone as someone said opinions are like a**holes everyone has got one!

  • best version, in my opinion, of MacAlpine's fuisiliers.

  • this is a rockin' version of McAlpines Fusiliers....love it

  • Good to hear!
