As not a Dubliner, I'd say yes, but I still love the original, the lyrics say it all, the tempo suits my rock lifestyle more. The lyrics touch base if you drive a shovel for a living. God bless the Irish and their ability to write great songs. (not you Bono, obviously)

I would'nt say it's a better version than the original Dubliners version...but it's certainly different and I enjoy it tremendously...lovely fiddling melody
