I think ice cream tastes weird if it's been in the freezer for a few months... And that's -supposed- to be frozen! I don't think I want to know what a cake tastes like after being frozen for a year... o.O

haha eww...but sort of a neat idea. Freezer burn is SUCH a gross chemical-y taste. I hate it.
