  • I saw this movie when I was a kid in the movies theater....it freaked me out!!! Now, it makes me laugh - and I love it still!

  • I like the part when he says " will you believe it when your dead!?" LOL what the crap does that mean?

  • what...the ....fuckamiwatching

  • GREEN SLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!

Sorry, I had to do that.

  • Not only this Movie has THE most sexy poster, it IS the essential Tentacle Movie.

Back then Sci-Fi Movies were still Fun.

F**k Avatar and all that Big Budget ridiculous CGI contaminated pompous contemporary Bullshit!

  • Where there people inside the slime suits or were they just mechanical robots ... ? They do seem very realistic ... I wonder if they could survive on earth? Shocking ... !

  • Oh the memories...MonsterVision on TNT Saturday Nights...Thank God for DVD's!

  • Who would dislike this? Go watch Saw 16 then.

  • That was good. I made one along the same lines here

  • c'mon!!! there only italian. They just want to give people the poke of death. frickin lazy ass racist astro NOTS.

  • the song wqas written about the sweat build up on his mothers ass crack ,green slime

  • @Occultscience101 lol i love the reference :)

  • thanks, I'll check it out...wonder if they have some other old movies, along these lines, available.

  • just loved this movie when I first way it back in the 60s. Would like a DVD version if anyone knows where I can get one.

  • @apollodave654: Amazon has it for sale, actually.

It isn't as cheap as you'd expect- $24.95, and it's burnt-to-order by Warner Brothers, but the print is actually surprisingly good quality, and it's just as much fun as I remembered it being in the early 80s, watching it on late night monster movies as a kid.

  • love it !! it uses the tune of white room by cream

  • good editing my man.

  • Still the greatest tune ever!!! Please relase the tune on CD!!!

  • still the greatest thing I've ever seen.

  • It's like that episode of Space: 1999, with the tentacle monster - but funky.

  • @AshleyMarkPomeroy are you talking about the two part 'Bringers of Wonder' eppisode? or the other one?

  • @AntiMusick The other one - Dragon's Domain (the monster didn't move much though).

  • @AshleyMarkPomeroy thanks I was trying to remember that one but both Bringers of Wonder and Dragon's Domain are good episodes I do prefer the first season over the second.

  • This had the potential to be good. Instead it was bad. Very vert=y bad,

  • why are you singing about the sweat build-up on yo mama's ass crack?

  • 'specially like the opening scene with the Slimers waving about in the foreground, the spacemen flying left and right in the middle and the escape pod zooming up in the back. a veritable blue-screen orgy of matte-lines and frantic, aimless activity. get the wackiest 1980s music-video and this just leaves it in the dust. I'm euphoric.

  • Tonnes bette than anything on SyFy I can tell you that

  • loved that movie....saw it new when I was ten....

  • this song is fuckin groovy

  • GOD DAMN THIS IS AMAZING

  • Who else has the urge to play The Awful Green Things From Outer Space?

  • Cool American and Japanese made science film film made ever. I love this film.

  • Best. Aliens. Ever. Giger eat your heart out. :)

  • Mst3k should have re-riffed this film; I'd like to see them dancing in their seats to this catchy theme. XD

  • This trailer makes the movie look absolutely awesome.

  • I won't eat before Tom Jones makes a cover of this song.

    Green Sliiiiiime!

  • I haven't seen this movie in 30 years. I'd love to see it again.

  • This movie is freaking AWESOME! Its like Armageddon, Aliens, and the Thunderbirds all in one! I don't know why it isn't out on DVD yet.

  • I have a semi-bootleg "foreign" DVD copy, pretty good transfer but no bonus features. Some sites claim they have torrents but I haven't downloaded them.

  • @ValEGwangi I wish an official release would come out. I'm not holding my breath though. I have a downloaded copy that's pretty decent but there are some spots with VHS errors on them where the tape that it was recorded from had flaws in it.

  • @Strideo1 Warner Bros. online store is releasing "The Green Slime" on made-to-order dvd. It's available for pre-order now on their website.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 Thanks for the info. :)

  • why you singin bout the sweat buildup on yo mama's ass crack?

  • Thought this was cool when I was 5...

  • GREEN SLIMEEEE

    Cheaa that rocked my sox.

  • where was obama born?

  • Earth, I think.

  • Sid and Marty Croft presents....

  • woulda been nice to hear the whole song....

  • @mfbinc I think this is about it. Short song; even shorter version replayed at film's end.

  • Anybody know where we can get the sound track?

  • I think the only real soundtrack is 45. The movie itself didn't have much more funky music to it

  • up ur mom's pelvis?

  • One of the most stupid, cheap, bad acting sci-fi flicks ever made, but loads of fun! I saw this as a kid, I couldn't believe the actors took this so seriously!

  • Completely terrible film. Coming from me, of course that means that it's a totally AWESOME film. I love this movie. And just think, a few years later Richard Jaeckel won a freaking Oscar. Awesome. Kaiju meets American Sci-fi pre 2001. Green Slime is a winner, and the song rocks. Sounds like it was done by Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. Listen to the vocals. Totally Dr. Teeth. Love this flick.

  • Richard Delvey (Delvy?) sang this song...

  • so epic video

  • well then. This is probably one of the BEST THINGS EVER.

  • Brilliant! I taped "The Green Slime" on TBS in January 1988...during a bad ice storm, as I recall. (I was fourteen, and we got out of school for nearly a week.) Last night I was digging around in a batch of old tapes and found this film, still intact! It was so much fun to watch it again.

Greatest sci-fi/horror movie theme song ever!

  • Well, the song's name is 'green slime', and the group's name is the same.

You can find the entire song in a compilation named 'Songs we taught The Fuzztones (35 garage classics by the original artists)'.

  • what is the name of his song

  • love this song :]

  • thats my theme song!

  • wtf

  • There's a longer version of this song, I wish I could find it again :/

  • Ever notice how much the vocalist sounds like Dr. Teeth from The Electric Mayhem? Have I posted this before? Damn, he does though.

  • The 21st Century sucks - I wanna be wearing a space suit, killing aliens with my lazer, like they promised - instead, all we got was the shitty internets. :(

  • you are so right. I was born in 57. raised on Sci fi. Even got a BSME and a MS math. USAF captain on space projects. Hippy days were more stimulating. Luckily internet allows a little research into other things. buddhism., more asian music. Helped me plan nine trips to asia. But this scientist did not get the pretty girl. You rock Mr, Fantastic. Loved UFO tv series, Lost in Space. Time tunnel had its moments. And I remember Green Slime for sure.

  • Nice reply. BUT what would you rather have: trips to Asia to learn about Buddhism, or trips into space to defend the Earth from glowing green alien monsters with a laser cannon while listening to whistling "space" music? :D

  • wow. now that would be a tough call. As a kid, I wanted to go into space and fight space monsters with asian girls! Smart scientist always was the hero and got the girl. What a nutty upbringing.

  • Hey! gk10995329rf7ffj v! What are you talking about? Me Bob and Dave......we're GOD!!! Isn't that enough for you!? Right now, at this very moment,we are opening up a box of cheese twits!! EXCELSIOR!!

  • @luscaslayer Yeah! Why can't I be a Moon Commando and take rocket ships to Saturn?

    Rocketpunk all the way.

  • Groovtastic

  • love this song!!!

  • GOD, this song is fucking awesome.

  • this is awesome.

  • oh shit this is like some H.R. puffnstuff trippy shit

  • That song is so funny! Have you ever heard suck crap in all your life?

  • haha it should have been called crap with arms that flail around

    i like the song

  • The song suits the movie perfectly! Love it!!!

  • its also used on one of the racist charlie brown racist V.O. that should be banned for its racism !

  • A theramin and wah-wah guitar; this song just blew my mind!

  • this almost sounds like an electric company song

  • SWAG!

  • whos the singer of this song?He sounds like one of the studio singers from the old Banana Splits show

  • Our instrumental band HOWLIE is getting ready to put our vid of this song up in the next few weeks, watch for it!

  • Where can I get it?

  • this film is pure entertainment,,,i showed my kids every shlock monster/space filme of 50,s and 60,s and this is the one we still like and laugh about,,,pure cult

  • I wish someone upload the whole movie...

  • i love this movie but the title song maybe the coolest ever(except jailhouse rock)

  • Amazing!

  • I saw it three times at the Texas Theater in 1968. Classic B-Movie Sci-Fi , Loved it !

  • This is the religious missing link I lost and now have finally found! The tune and the hi-tech visuals have been stirring in my head since those days and influencing everything I have ever done. Thank you Swami, Peace be with you.

  • Man! I loved this flick as a child... Now I NEED that soundtrack!

  • I covered this song with my Heavy Metal band in the 80's. What a gas!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This movie reminds me of the nerd version of Barbarella with Jane Fonda (only real accomplishment of hers anyone cares about haha). Man I havent seen that movie since it was out at the drive-ins back when it was new at the Sheridan just outside Chicago on 79th and Harlem.

  • possibly the coolest theme song of all time!!!!

  • GREEEN SLIMEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

  • And i've watched this... all of it... in 2008...

  • I saw this the other day, it's amazing, love the tune. where did you get your dvd copy from.

  • It's on E-bay. Transfer from VHS-the Region 2 Japanese release is not in Eng. or with subs. This movie runs on TCM several times a year, check the website.

  • I STILL remember this crazy movie! Scared the heck out of me as a child. I'd love to get this on DVD if I can find it. Thanks for posting!

  • I have this on dvdr. It is on E-bay!

  • I loved this f**king movie when I was a kid!

  • ditto!

  • I just bought the DVD! Awesome!

  • it's on dvd?

i can't find it any where in the USA, stores or net.

where did you get it at?

  • A Japanese production, without Japanese actors.

  • Catchy eh?

  • theres a party in my tummy!

  • Richard Delvy is the singer of this song.

  • BEST MUSIC AND BEST MOVIE!

  • One of the greatest theme songs ever!!!

  • Makes me wanna dance!

  • saved to favorites

  • Man I have waited to hear this again for 20 years!

  • i think this is the best vid i've ever seen on youtube hahaha this is so funny!

  • the song rocks,, my buddy has this on vid and we watched it a few times freeekin great hahahaha

  • Greeeeeen Sliiiime!!! Heh the truth is the movie wasn't 'bad' as far as it went, I mean It's 1968 , back then the special effects on the original Star treck were consider good. But that theme song..dear sweet god!! That alone is worth buying the movie. A fine example of Americans doing something better than the Japs.

  • This WAS a Japanese movie... Kinji Fukasaku directing.

  • It was a jouint project with toho. But in truth the american version was hailed as better. The Japanese left out the love triangle sub plot, was shorter and did not have the trippuy theme music.

  • Sorry, but the Japanese studio was Toei, not Toho. Anyone ever hear The Fuzztone's cover of this tune? It's a good second to "the real McCoy"!

  • I heard part of it.

  • thats right Toie is the studio that made Johnny Sokko giant robot.

  • it was made in the same year that 2001 was made so there were some pretty good effects knocking about

  • Yes! I was planning to post the musical intro sequence to Green Slime, but props to Davet for taking it a step forward with mixing in various movie scenes into a video. Sadly the Japanese version of the film doesn't include this hit tune.

  • GREAT JOB! Coolest opening theme for a monster movie ever. Saw this on T.V. back in the 70s

  • Was this a Promotional video for the movie or something?

  • No, it's just the theme song with a silly music video I cut together in Studio.

  • who sings this song?

  • richard delvey(delvy) sings it

  • thx

  • That was funky & amazingly bad at the same time. So cool & totally a throw-back to my youth and my memories of my nerdiness.

  • Sounds like "Tales of Brave Ulysses" by Cream but with better vocals and flashier drumming.

  • who sings this song?

  • Mentok- the credit goes to Richard Delvy.

  • THANKS DUDE!
