  • Mark, I have the Micronta 22-191 I purchased back in the 80's which I use to check simple voltage for the house, batteries and the car. Now I need to check a thermocouple which has a rating of 30 millivolt. Can you kindly tell how to set my Micronta 22-191 so I can for 30 millivolt. Thanks

  • @bongpay You know, I've never worked with thermocouples. Sounds like you would just put the 22-191 on the 200 millivolt range, and measure across the thermocouple. If there is a voltage source and the thermocouple is open, you'd need a higher voltage range, I suppose.

  • @warriorfire8103 It would blow the 1 amp circuit breaker on my little power supply. In another situation, could blow a fuse in the meter or damage the meter. In an industrial setting, the meter could even explode, although unlikely with a Fluke. One must be extremely careful using the AMPS or MILLIAMPS function of a multimeter. The meter needs to be in series with the load, not across it. Always return the test leads to the voltage position after using the amps function.

    How did you calibrate the potentiometers? With a small flathead?
