  • Sorry to sound cynical -- but how do i KNOW that the money is going to the cause, and not yourself? Any paperwork I can see?

  • @Crazee108 The best proof we can give are our tax forms and receipts from the nonprofits to which we donate. Because we've just launched, we have neither (but will post them on our site as soon as we get them). Until then, you'll have to trust that we're doing the right thing! Or you could visit our FB page for people and news releases that can vouch for Tab for a Cause. Thanks for your concern!

  • @kayjen Cool, I'll keep at it and will check out your FB page. =)

  • I usually don't do this sort of thing but you seem like a nice dude so I'll just go a head and try it out.

  • This is a great idea and it has enormous potential of spreading very fast once a critical mass of supporters has started tabbing... Did you think about contacting some TV channel on it? Maybe an afternoon programm on a major channel... one that has like a "net corner" giving some insights concerning internet developments/trends/gadgets/social media... that'd be ideal and might be a milestone for the initiation ?

  • What a creative and effective way to help the world! Nice Job :)

  • ok, I'm all tabbed up

  • Loved your homosexuality should be banned vid, which is how I saw this, well done you!!

  • Well done mate! I'll get on this right away! Greetings from Finland x

  • Way to go kayjen!

  • Wait, so it's like a free way to donate money?awesome!

  • Gah! What are you looking at over my left shoulder!?

  • You are so awesome. Kudos to you for doing this. I just signed up. I wanted to donate to a cause that focuses specifically on LGBT issues. Human Rights Watch seems like the closest thing.

Keep up the great work, buddy!

  • @Jimplicit Thanks so much! We sincerely appreciate the encouragement.

  • I am bit scared of installing Mozilla Addon which is not hosted on mozilla's site ..

  • @MrJekyllDrHyde1 Others (on this Youtube page or on Tab for a Cause's Facebook page) can vouch that the add-on is safe. Mozilla prefers not to host site-specific add-ons, which is why we self-hosted. Thanks for your concern! Let me know if I can help you in any other way.

  • For some reason every now and then there's no banner advertisement when I open a new tab..?

  • @justtrashed That's normal, no worries! On occasion, our ad space goes unfilled. As the site gets more traffic, the rate of unfilled ad space will decrease. Thanks for asking!

  • looking forward to a video identifying objective way to verify this is as you say. your pitch is attractive, but I am cynical.

    cheers.

  • @woodlandfox2112 Fair enough. The best proof we can give are our tax forms and receipts from the nonprofits to which we donate. Because we've just launched, we have neither (but will post them on our site as soon as we get them). Until then, you'll have to trust that we're doing the right thing! • great idea! i've just installed it and set my donation frequency on every time i open a tab :)

  • @justtrashed Thank you so much! That's great to hear.

  • this is cool. did you make the add-on yourself?

  • @Pankakke Thanks! Yes, some friends and I wrote the add-ons.

  • I was using tab, but then it started making my chrome new tab page not load (the page where it shows you your most visited sites and apps and whatnot). It's disabled for now, but I'll give it another go later.

  • @Garrulitas You must have the frequency set to 'every time'. In the upper right, click on the purple 't' and it will display your options for new tabs :)

  • Your cute

  • What a Great Idea! I think it's imperative you work out some solution for the Internet Explorer browser. There was a time that I preferred using Firefox. Windows 7 changed that. At first it sounded like we could add our own charities into the mix. I think that could make the difference in having an "open system" resembling things like the "open source" approach to developing for the Web. In addition, it would allow for us to submit our local charities for consideration. It should be unlimited!

  • @rdority The "open system" concept is a great idea, and we hope to move toward it as Tab for a Cause continues to expand. As I commented below, we also plan to incorporate IE (as soon as we find the time to do so). Thanks for the suggestions!

  • amazing project, best of luck and i agree with iiablaze you are sooo cute

  • where were u guys, i love u, thanx for coming back to us, with a great project, will u guys do more vids, and r u on twitter!

  • @waterpen27 Thanks! Yeah, we'll probably whip up a video now and then. Not on Twitter yet... for now, if you like Tab for a Cause on Facebook, we'll let you know about any goings-on.

  • I do not use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. I still use Internet Explorer, and there is no option for that :/

  • @LetsStartOverNow We're hoping to get Safari and IE extensions out within the next few months-- we'll see if that actually happens. Meanwhile... wanna try out Firefox? :P

  • @kayjen Is it much different than IE? I have only ever used IE.

  • @LetsStartOverNow Yeah, Chrome and Firefox are both a little different from IE (but not drastically so). Generally, they're faster and more flexible than IE is. Give one a shot and see what you think!

  • @kayjen Which one do you suggest? Or just either one? Haha. Sorry for asking all of the questions. I just don't wanna get something on my computer and not like it.

  • @LetsStartOverNow Well, personally, I like Firefox. But they're both intuitive and easy to use, so either one works!

  • @kayjen Alright. I am going to try to download Firefox in the near future and then Tab For A Cause shortly afterward :)

  • IOkay, here's a completely superficial question...

With HD cameras selling for about $30, why is this video in 240p resolution...? C'mon, you're too photogenic for 240p. Size does matter, dude. :)

  • You [guys] are amazing: Intelligent, attractive, witty, funny, progressive, sensitive, caring, altruistic, etc, etc, etc. Count me in. And best of luck with the project.

  • thank gawd ur back again...i love your videos...they are very creative...and oh yea...ur still cute

  • no link yet D:

  • @TheCardsProduction - Sorry! YouTube lag. The link should be up now :)
