Everybody who speaks of democracy should know that the President of the EU has been elected by the respective leaders of your own country. It may not be a direct democracy but it is a democracy nontheless.
It would be impractical to let every EU-citizen vote because countries with fewer citizens would have a clear disadvantage (like Belgium)
So please read a book about the basic rules of the EU or something.
Otherwise you can move to Switzerland and vote for something every 2 weeks (joy!)

@ViriathusVingathor I stand corrected, the Soviet Red Army and Red Airforce pulverized the German Army and had it on the run all the way from Stalingrad in 1942 to Berlin in 1945. However, the Red Army did have over 100,000 Studebaker and similar supply trucks from Roosevelt's USA to help them. Don't forget also the massive RAF and USAAF bomber contribution in helping bring Hitler's EU Reich to its knees.

@RedGoblinus That is true,RAF and USAF bombing had a great impact mostly on german morale 8 Mil germans fled from the cities,the civilian infrastructure was hit badly,and many began to starve,but when the bombings happened the war was already lost,those 1 M men were children,olds,and womens,they used nearly everyone to operate the AA´s.

The total military losses germans had in the east front was 4,300,000,about 93% of all military losses they had in the war,the total Axis losses make more than 5,178,000 and still today hundreds of corpses are found.......

The most important factor was that Germany largely underestimated the soviets,that it was just to "kick the door and the whole house would end falling"while the soviets learned from their initial mistakes,and began to copy the german army,and the winter(1942 was the hardest winter in Russia in 100 years)gave them the time to learn.

choosing the EU Commissions president comes from the ratification of the treaty of lissabon. This treaty shouldve been decided by a peoples referendum...which was never held in Belgium. Therefor it was basically a "coup d'etat", seeing as the commission can take full control of a countrys governement institutions, as its written in the treaty of Lissabon. Go totalitarian regime :-)

Belgium is divided in three sections, The Flamish section, the Wallonian section and the German section (They gained in WO II) Its a country they speak Dutch, Flamish, French, German and English! Dispite of all the Dutch dialects they speak are there 5 languages!
the country is between Germany, France and England and those are really the head pioniers of Europe!
The Belgian political system is complex, on a high level, they are really masters in it! Trust me Van Rompuy is a good choise!
