I have to say that yes, the donkey looks like a shrek character, but it is an animated film about a donkey, what do you expect it to look like?

The film plot is very original, it is based on the book El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha but has few similarities.

Yes, I know these our classic fairy tales from public domain written a very long time ago but it is obvious in the way they are presented in this trailer that they are trying to imitate the shrek franchise of films.

Clearly yes, this film has been heavily influenced by Shrek, but they acknowledge this and make fun of it, the trailers announces it came 'from the producers who saw Shrek". We all influence one another. Its not that big a deal.

I think the animation could definitely use some work: no fluidity really (they move and stop, not really slowing down or having any follow-through)and bad character design, coupled with pretty dull character animation. Should have given the animators longer to make the animations.

@spartacus4x actually it has nothing to do with Shrek, cept that the donkey DO look alot like the donkey from Shrek and they say "from the producers who saw Shrek" in the trailer, which both made me think it was a waste of time. But the story is from a very well-known book from the 17th century called Don Quixote. Yeah the Donkey is probably so people would think it was Shrek but the rest of it is, after what I guess, is good. And it's a good animated version of the book.

pues a mi esta pelicula no me parece en absoluto un insulto al Quijote, sino que es una perfecta adaptación de la novela a la comedia, y si no recuerdo mal para aquel que se haya leido el libro hay más de una situación cómica en él. Los molinos de viento que todo el mundo recuerda, el caballero rival que resultó ser el barbero, el leon del circo y como no Sancho y sus refranes.

Es una manera de hacer llegar el Quijote al corazón de mucha gente, esperemos que sea divertida y pasemos con ella un buen rato. A parte de por supuesto , que tenga un cierto parecido con la novela aunque creo que eso será coincidencia jeje.

Te diré algo más: El Quijote ES una novela de risa :P. Cervantes pretendió en realidad hacer reír con ella. De hecho, su éxito fue tal que cuando alguien se reía mucho se decía que era porque estaba leyendo el Quijote.

Hoy día, que unos mercaderes le rompan los dientes y le pateen las bolas a alguien no es tan gracioso... Pero, de aquella, ver a alguien tan refinado ser pateado tan burdamente hacia LOLEAR a todo el mundo xDD!!

pero si la peli está hecha en España, la productora es Filmax. Es un juego de palabras. La peli se estrena es España estas Navidades, no recuerdo bien el día. Otras pelis de esta empresa son 'El Cid'o 'Gisaku'. A principios de Octubre estrenan la peli de 'Nocturna'.
