@sambios So true. They give the poor Americans the drugs, knowing they will get addicted, then when they want the drugs, they have to get it from Latin America, then America makes it illegal.
Thanks to a documentary like this, the collective memory of my land, of my country, of my home, has a reference point to not forget this infamous moments. It's good to keep them in mind, so we don't let them to return. RIP Andrés Escobar.
Dam this was so deep. This makes men cry man. War is a vicious cycle. Andres had a pure heart man and they killed a good man. His death help put the whole country into decline single handedly. This was powerful beyond words! This should get an award at Sundance film festival.
Wow this just shows how serious people take sports wow he made a mistake so even the best make mistakes in any sport especially under pressure I guess I don't understand why you would take any game this serious
BUENISIMO, SOY PANAMEÑO PERO VIVI ESA ALEGRIA DE ITALIA 90 CUANDO COLOMBIA JUGO CON ALEMANIA , Y EL INIMAGINABLE PARTIDO CONTRA ARGENTINA, GRACIAS HERMANOS COLOMBIANOS POR DARLE TANTA ALEGRIA A LOS LATINOS DEL MUNDO.............................
Look at this shit, they killed Escobar and did they fix the dru proble.....Fuuuuuck no! now Colombia and Mexico are still running the game....we need to learn from history that u cannot stop the flow of drugs so might as well legalize it, why risk so many lives on both sides with a drug war?
This was such a wonderful and eye opening piece, of work on Pablo Escobar. Thank-you for introducing me to the warming spirit, of Andres Escobar. May our Heavenly Father and Andres are playing soccer right now as I type this. I'm not sure, but I hope you guys introduced this at Sundance.
rip andres escobar, but i thought carlos valderrama was colombia's greatest ever player, those who know a lot about colombian footy, am i right or wrong?
As the person said below, "this is a real masterpiece." The story was told from all perspectives, relevant people interviewed, great recapture of old video, all around greatness. Its sad to see how big of positive/negative impact a drug lord and/or drug war can have on a country (look at Mexico today). RIP Andres Escobar.
I remember the golden generation of Colombian players. In 1990, they played soon to be champions Germany equally and lost to Cameroon, because of Roger Milla after the Colombians dominated the entire game but failed to score. Then, they thrashed Argentina and became the WC favorites, but the Romanians came very prepared to play them and got a 3-1 thanks to Hagi. In the game against USA, it was mentally impossible to play while your family is threatened to die.

Ah, the trusty old "blame america" excuse. Never mind the fact that it wasn't US citizens shooting each other.
