Also, it is important to note that the match was like 12 minutes long. You said in your review that you wished that they had more time. Frankly, 12 minutes is a pretty long time. The problem was that Lexxus was on offense for the entire match and all the pathetic chick could do was freaking rest holds in the ropes and hair tosses. Lexxus SUCKED! The match started to pick up steam when Melina got on offense and started to electrify the crowd with her great maneuvers!!!

I actually think that Becky Bayless is a more solid worker in the ring than the awful Lexxus! She at least showed some technical ability in her match with that gay dude...

Lexxus botched so many of Melina's maneuvers! I just don't get the whole point of having Melina wrestle her first match against a no-name talent that wrestles as poorly as Velvet Sky on TNA. Was Jazz busy or something? They had the opportunity to give the fans a dream match that people will remember forever. Heck, even picking April Hunter as Melina's opponent would have given us a better match. Lexxus had the opportunity to make a name for herself and she was an EPIC FAIL on the night! Shame!!!

@KinglyNumbaOne I think your being a little to critical on lexxus. The match was the most fan involved match of the night and it was the best WRESTLING match of the night. I dont see an issue. The original plans couldnt be kept so they gave lexxus a shot. I enjoyed watching melina come out to a great pop, have an epic entrance, hear the crowd chant her name and watch her pick up the victory. As a Melina fan Im not going to complain. This was much better than what wwe was doing with her

@jayvardy You're right that Melina was excellent. I thought Melina was fantastic throughout the match. The problem is that they gave her a broomstick to have a match with. Sure Melina can have a good match with a broomstick (as she proved in her match with Lexxus) but if you give her an actual excellent wrestler, she can have a LEGENDARY match! I was expecting one of the best matches of Melina's entire career with a fantastic opponent like Jazz. WSU flopped majorly with their choice of Lexxus!!!

well that kind of brings me to my point where I said Melina is clearly bigger than WSU. If Melina wants to continue wrestling id like to see her end up in TNA. That is the place where she will get the chance to be the star she is and get the opponents she deserves

@jayvardy -- Yeah...I guess TNA would be a decent place, but look at how many women they have over there? Who knows if Melina would actually get the chance to wrestle often over there. I am not against WSU, I just don't want Melina having to wrestle crappy wrestlers like Lexxus ever again. WSU has a ton of talent. I am eager to see Melina vs. Roxxi, Melina vs. Jazz, Melina vs. April Hunter, and DEFINITELY Melina vs. Mercedes Martinez! You know, MELINA VS A WORTHY OPPONENT!!!

@jayvardy @KinglyNumbaOne Maybe theyre leaving the legendary match for the next PPV. ;) Also Indie matches are way different from WWE matches and this was the first time they had a chance to wrestle each other. Im just glad Melina is back baby! =D

This is the first PPV I've ordered in years. At $14.99, I thought the price was very affordable, especially to watch Melina's first post-WWE. I thought Melina was excellent tonight, but I thought Lexxus was an abomination in the ring. I think you're being way too nice JayVardy. Melina was out of the ring for three months and didn't miss a beat, but it's a shame that she had to carry Lexxus for the entire match. Lexxus just couldn't keep up with Melina, nor did she provide the heel heat necessary

I clearly said that Melina is in a league of her own. If I didnt mention that in this (i think i did) I mentioned it on twitter several times. Lexxus isnt as good as melina obviously and it wouldve been nice if it was serena in there instead but Given everything I thought they put on a great match. I had my expectations low and that probably why i enjoyed it so much. If it was serena vs melina my expectations wouldve been higher

@jayvardy You're right. Probably my expectations were too high! I thought after Melina left the WWE that it would be the end of her having to face crappy chicks that she'd have to carry through entire matches. Then her first match in WSU and what do you have? A crappy chick that Melina has to carry for an entire 12 minutes! Whoopee!!! Did you see how anti-climactic it was when they announced Lexxus as Melina's opponent? Nobody even knew who the FREAK she was! It was an EPIC FAIL to use her!!!
