The total elimination of income taxes and ALL hidden taxes that are now included in everything you buy(thus lowering prices of all goods) Getting rid of the i.r.s and then a 23% sales tax instead. We need to act. We can all hope and want RP to be president, but if we dont take positive productive actions in our respective communities, RP as president would not be enough. Mike Huckabee supports the repeal of the of the 16th Amendment. The total elimination of income taxes and ALL hidden taxes that are now included in everything you buy(thus lowering prices of all goods) Getting rid of the i.r.s and then a 23% sales tax instead. You get to keep your entire check after ssi and medicare. You only get taxed on what you spend, and you would get a check at the start of every month to cover(and then some) the taxes you would spend up to the poverty level. Go "fairtax".

Christ, why can't Paul just say that taxes should be more on State level. He can say "tariffs and excise taxes for federal government, and if state needs money, they tax their people, and would be held more accountable". He loses potential people by not stating that, so average viewer will dismiss him more.

the income tax was put into place before WW1
1913 = Federal Reserve Act and 1914 = WW1
Also they tried to add a income tax during the Civil War and the 1890's. There was never meant to be any income tax period. They are just taking money from our pockets.

ya, i saw a video on that. I didn't know there wasn't a law saying we need to pay income tax until I saw it. When I think about it, it makes me mad since the government is essentially saying it owns my entire income when it tries to tax my wages. I don't think that's right. Your comparison to 1913..it doesn't matter how it ran then..this is 2008, not 1913..the world has changed..the economy is not driven in the same way or by the same sectors it was the,,the population was far less and that also changes the equation...when are you folks going to realize this isn't 1913, but then you're still trying to figure out this isn't 1776

Economies have existed throughout history way before 1913, and they still work basically the same way today. The fundamentals are the same. Only the details are different. History has a lot to teach us.

If it were 2108, would you tell people that hitlerian tyrants couldn't exist because its not in his day? Acknowledging a date doesn't change the possibility of past errors. 1913 was only a capstone. Look at what set the background to the fiscal disaster that culminated in 1913. Then you begin to see the truth.

Well, pajeff -there are many factors involved in how well he did or didn't do in the primaries but the MSM was exactly honest in reporting how well he actually did. But how seemily popular he is has nothing to do with his character. Should I judge your character on how many friends you have?

You know, the guy who got busted with 3 ounces of pot in the back of his volkswagen van. They guy you probably hate, but nevertheless committed no harm to others.
Drug addicts and dealers that rob, mame, and kill do so because they must operate under the government's radar. When's the last time you heard of people fighting over rights to sell alcohol on a specific turf?

paul is the most anti-american person on the planet..to him everything is wrong with this country..he thinks he's right on everything. voters have spoken in the primaries and said we are wise to you and your constant tearing down of America..we are not getting rid of the institutions and social programs you want and we are not cutting and running from iraq. we are not letting druggies out of prison so they can get high, hop in a car, and run over our kids while they wait at the school bus stop

We need to act. We can all hope and want RP to be president, but if we dont take positive productive actions in our respective communities, RP as president would not be enough. If u r a Citizen, u can run for office in your local government. Be the leader in your community that speaks the truth and has high moral standards. We have to eliminate all the hypocrites running our government, churches and households. U can be the role model.
