This was the biggest instrumental band of the r&r/pop era. Perhaps it was The Tornados that were bigger overseas in England, but here it was Ventures. Instrumentals were big back in the doowop era with such artists as Duane Eddy, The Shadows, Floyd Crammer and Johnny & the Hurricains also well known inst. bands. In fact it was Johnny & the Hurricains that initially send this hit into the top 10 of the Music charts. Thx4 posting.
