absolutly amazing setup man! i have a community terrarium myself and only wish it looked something like this!! best setup ive seen on here!! i have a vid of my setup on my page if u wanted to check it out but best and nicest setup i have seem kudos man!
anybody intrested in this dude would love this guys account his account name is Rephibiankid and make new videos about every week and hes trying to start a competiton 4 the best vids of there amphibians, reptiles, and insects such as trantulas
insane!!!! thats awesome!! ive been trying to set up a rain system like that for months but failed everytime. So like were did u get the mister heads and what did u use in ur rain system?
so how do u really do tat? l0l would like to get a crested or something soon or a chameleon as a first sorta real reptile since i own turtles (aquatic) and making it rain looks like a great way to keep real plants and keep up humidity for the whole day or two, so how do u do it? the description didnt really help l0l
Nive Viv man...Im looking to do my own misting system for my larger Viv....I know the equipment needed but I'm just wondering how you mounted the misting nozzels to your tank?? Are they attached to the glass using suction cups? Are they run through a mesh top with a hole cut in it? Im just trying to figure out how to have a faily unnoticeable misting system and to have a "clean" looking install. Thanks
Wow! great system. Those bromeliads look increadible. But what is wainting? Might want to edit the description, and please include a little more info. How long have they been setup? What type of plants? What type of lights? That sort of thing. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
very nice system! I found you can make a simple rain system (and provides constant humidity) by using a small power head (in water at bottom) with pipe which has many holes put in with a drawing pin, fixed to the nozzle, which is then attached to the lid or suspended on a mesh cieling, which spreads the moisture further. This can then be set on a timer to simulate tropical rain, especially with a bigger powerhead/tube. Again, a wonderful terrarium you have!
yeah theinsane101, but they do need some minor drainage. if you put a perfect amount of water they should be fine. however if too much water unnecessarily goes unmantained, mold will grow. you can put cloth or safe sponges underneath the substrate to soak up excess water and remove it every now and then to dry it... be creative. terrariums are big flower pots.
- The mildew / mold is something natural, which always goes out with high levels of dampness, but with a good ventilation and a small colony of colembolos disappears. Anyhow it is not harmful to the amphibians.
- I am wait of another system of myst. What one sees in the video is the system of rain, produced by a bomb of high pressure and micro-water-sprinklers.
what kind of misting system is that and where do i find one?? lol or tell me how to make my own if that's what you did cuz that. is. badass

1. where is the water source?
2.what type of hose and nosle r u useing?
3.if you have 1 min. of rainfall in a cycle how many cycles do u need a day?
meatball128 3 years ago
Hi,
1.This is a hermetic container, hidden beneath the furniture.
2.Silicone tube and high pressure pump with spraying nozzles "fine".
3.I have 5 rains at this time of 30 seconds, 3 in the morning and 2 at dusk.
*But every animal and terrarium is different. You must find the parameters that best fit what you have.
Thank all for the commentaries ;D.
Best Regards

question: do terrariums need drainage?
theinsane101 3 years ago
probably not, it just pumps the water back where it started like a hydropnic garden
