Hey Stu!!!..The Pickups are Great Yeah..I put them on the Mexican Made One too..But This one and Most of the American Made Ones Have Alder Bodies..its a Heavier Wood then Poplar which is Whats Used on the Mexican Ones..Also the Necks are I believe Maple The SRV also has a Ferro Graphite Fingerboard..I bought this One Used at Guitar Center in 99...Nice Guitars!!!
