Brilliant! Thank you for this tutorial. Sorry to be pedantic, but couldn't this theoretical car 'instantly flip around' @t=60 - and still be in 'drive' (I'm from the UK, so I hope I'm using USA driving terminology correctly)? This would mean you're not driving 'backwards'. You will however, be driving along the defined reference axis towards the origin. To those 'bashers' who pick up on a couple of your arithmetic errors and call this video a 'fail' - you're so rude.
Why did he integrate the whole graph of v(t)? The problem asked for s(75), so shouldn't he just have integrated v(t) from 0 to 75? I think he made a mistake.
ohmygosh I now understand the five AP practice questions my teacher gave me..... o.o I've been struggling with them for a week now... 0.0...won't she be surpirsed when I Ace the Exam this Thursday. THANK YOU!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!
The education of my coutry Peru and most of others are way harder than the US. The easiest class per year is at least as hard as gifted level and everyone pass it and if you don't pass calculus the only think that you gonna be in life is crap. When I was in my country I was taking calculus and I was 13 and when I came here I was starting to take algebra 1 was soooo fucking easy now that I'm in 12 grade still without learning so much everithing is easy.
Im just saying it depends on what you want to do with your life.I guess you could do this stuff if your majoring in physics but otherwise I dont recommend ever taking Calculus.
Yeah I was tripping out on distance of 75 i was like wait why is he going to only 90!! Phew I thought he did something I was missing without explaining it.
thanks for the help with these types of graphs i hope you relized however that you only need to integrate for distance up 75 afterwards good video though
for all of you that know how to do this problem or are in calculus...i give you all props i am horrible in math and i cant even pass algebra 2 and you guys can do this...props you guys are smart
Wow, this video actually helped! I'm actually doing a free response problem from the 2001 AP calculus test for homework, and it has the graph of Acceleration. Thanks!
ya you're right two times .the maths teacher rewrite the same mistake: 0,5*15*10= 75 not 55..but it is a small mistake because under an experiment in physics you should recalculate your result several times before you conclude...Calculus can explain everything...
i could solve that just using kinematics. ap physics is the way to go. im not even in precalculus and you dont need to use all those integrals and derivatives
math teachers in general! interestingly, the best math teacher i ever had got his BS in physics and somehow transitioned into mathematics. in fact, ive learned more math from physicists than mathematicians.
hmm.. all made sense and i'm 15.. .but i would have made equations lol... e.g. the circle wouldn't take long 1/2(r^2-x^2)^0.5 but it could have taken longer i suppose...
Loved the clip. However, #1 I wouldn't have changed colors, the black looked better and #2 I can send you an old whiteboard eraser if you need one. Great show though.
OK so he made a mistake but chek this out. midnight tutor is the re =carnation of GOTTFRIED LEIBNIZ (minus the wig),who was co-discoverer of CALCULUS!!! check his pic out on wiki!!!
hey umm bluedog leave it be it's like 1 in the morning and he's taking time out of his LIFE to help and teach people. i think people will catch the mistake as well as the man whom posted the video the important thing here is that he knows what he's talking about if you don't have anything nice to say don't post.
Almost all the answers were common sense responses (Either that or APCalc is THAT easy). That guy seems to be a little nervous when speaking and thus making him to have so many mistakes. Anyways this vid helps, keep it up

No because the slope of the v vs t graph at that time is 10/15 = 2/3 m/sec^2

AP chem and AP psyc are are the hardest AP's

rayomandg 3 years ago 2
First of all 5 x 15 = 75
Second you did s(90)not s(75)
Also 80 - 75 = 5 not ten
And the answer to your "Retorical" Question at 12:41 is NO

ChoklatMunchies 3 years ago
umm well if you go to highschool starting around your sophomore year you can take AP classes. heres how it goes:
CP : college prep (normal classes)
H : honors (honors classes)
AP : Advanced Placement(college level classes)
Alfaris 3 years ago
Sorry, Im not from America, im from England. I think the school system is different.
ChoklatMunchies 3 years ago 2
in my school its
Technical ( easy as hell )
CP ( normal )
Honors ( hard )
Gifted ( very hard )
AP - Advanved Placement ( VERY F*CKIN HARD )
AP calculus ( SUICIDE ) im taking all gifted and AP pre-calc.. their all raping me... ='[

isnt the distance the absolute value of the position, so when u take the area under the negative curve you are suppose to at it to distance covered
bhavik05 3 years ago
you are correct, but in this particular case you are looking for the difference between the forward distance and the reverse distance.
