  • I dont understand why T at 30 is undefined :( cant it also be 0?

  • @stevenan93 because its not differentiable there. theres a friggin corner you doofus...and why the hell would it be 0???

  • soooo many mistakes.......

  • @chelseylynne9 lol 5*15=55, velocity is analogous to speed

  • @joejacksonriley wow...15 * 5 = 55?????????? hahhahahahhahahh

  • might be the first one in my family to go to college thanks to this.

  • @AsianThunder0 yea right, youre asian

  • 10 times 15 over two is not equal to 55, it should be 75, i guess..

  • velocity is the first derivative of displacement, not distance

  • 1/2*15*10 = 75 m not 55 m

  • what about the s(0)=40 in the top corner, shouldn't that have been added to #3?

  • I was surprised when I took AP Calc cuz it was actually kinda fun.

  • Did you do s(90) instead of s(75)?

  • Thank you very much, this is very helpful!!

  • Why did he integrate the whole graph of v(t)? The problem asked for s(75), so shouldn't he just have integrated v(t) from 0 to 75? I think he made a mistake.

  • wow, thanks for the tutorial! it was very helpful. maybe if i had read this earlier, i wouldn't be scoring 3's right now

  • ohmygosh I now understand the five AP practice questions my teacher gave me..... o.o I've been struggling with them for a week now... 0.0...won't she be surpirsed when I Ace the Exam this Thursday. THANK YOU!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!

  • 15 * 5 = 75, not 55 :) - otherwise, very well done

  • Thank you for such a beautiful explanation.

  • Hehe that was interesting. IT was REALLY easy to understand, and I haven't taken calculus yet.

  • Ok ppl i know this might sound ignorant and stupid, probably both...but wt exactly does AP stand for?

  • Advance Placement

  • thanks!

i only wanted 2 know in order 2 c if this is part of my A-level course.

but i dont think it is.

  • i like this guy

  • Wouldn't the acceleration at 10 seconds be 1 m/sec^2

  • No because the slope of the v vs t graph at that time is 10/15 = 2/3 m/sec^2

  • Oh ok thx

  • @midnighttutor 1/2*15*10 = 75 meters not 55 meters, but really good presentation

  • @jslashs

    fail

  • @jslashs fail

  • He knows what he is doing, but he makes a LOT of mistakes.

  • 1/2*10*15=75...

  • he know what he is doing. people!!!! learn how to THINK.

  • sharksniff, i think modesty is an important part of intelligence.

  • How is AP calc hard?, it is the easiest AP class in my school other than AP enviro, AP econ and AP Bio for those who took micro and physio

AP chem and AP psyc are are the hardest AP's

  • What happend that I still not in gifted clases or AP is because I still in ESOL that sucked me up sooo much...

  • some errors but well sayed.

The education of my coutry Peru and most of others are way harder than the US. The easiest class per year is at least as hard as gifted level and everyone pass it and if you don't pass calculus the only think that you gonna be in life is crap. When I was in my country I was taking calculus and I was 13 and when I came here I was starting to take algebra 1 was soooo fucking easy now that I'm in 12 grade still without learning so much everithing is easy.

  • and you will still get out and hang drywall, taco.

  • I'm taking

    AP English Lit

    AP Bio

    AP Chem

    AP Calc BC

    AP US History

    AP Spanish Language

    AP Polisci

Yeah. I guess you could say my life sucks.

  • @meteorodarkkid how'd it go?

  • @meteorodarkkid

If you go to public school, then your life doesn't suck because by in large, AP classes are far easier at public school than private school.

  • @meteorodarkkid i'm in AP calc, AP euro, and AP bio. i thought my life sucks. you have my sympathies

  • When will you ever need this shit.

  • You probably won't, idiot.

  • Im just saying it depends on what you want to do with your life.I guess you could do this stuff if your majoring in physics but otherwise I dont recommend ever taking Calculus.

  • s(t) should be the displacement, not distance. Btw this is noob calc. Wait till you're in college! Muhahaha.

  • First of all 5 x 15 = 75

    Second you did s(90)not s(75)

    Also 80 - 75 = 5 not ten

And the answer to your "Retorical" Question at 12:41 is NO

  • Whats AP?

  • umm well if you go to highschool starting around your sophomore year you can take AP classes. heres how it goes:

CP : college prep (normal classes)

    H : honors (honors classes)

AP : Advanced Placement(college level classes)

  • Sorry, Im not from America, im from England. I think the school system is different.

  • in my school its

Technical ( easy as hell )

    CP ( normal )

    Honors ( hard )

    Gifted ( very hard )

    AP - Advanved Placement ( VERY F*CKIN HARD )

AP calculus ( SUICIDE ) im taking all gifted and AP pre-calc.. their all raping me... ='[

  • wrong, AP Chemistry is truly suicide!

  • well there's no such thing as ap pre-calc... unless it's some sort of pre-AP thing

  • @grahmcrackers AP pre-calc? do they even have a test for that? for us, pre-calc is an honors and we don't even have a techincal track

  • 15 x 5 = 75.. not 55 ohh well

  • lol "virtually" guarantee

anyways this is a great help considering AP calc exams are tomorrow

  • this guy takes forever explaining what the derivative means...

  • 15 * 5= 75...

  • Yeah I was tripping out on distance of 75 i was like wait why is he going to only 90!! Phew I thought he did something I was missing without explaining it.

  • isnt the distance the absolute value of the position, so when u take the area under the negative curve you are suppose to at it to distance covered

  • you are correct, but in this particular case you are looking for the difference between the forward distance and the reverse distance.

  • thanks for the help with these types of graphs i hope you relized however that you only need to integrate for distance up 75 afterwards good video though

  • Algebra mistakes kill even the calculus teachers!

  • for all of you that know how to do this problem or are in calculus...i give you all props i am horrible in math and i cant even pass algebra 2 and you guys can do this...props you guys are smart

  • Im good in algebra, but I can't do calculus lol.

  • OMG same here. But im trying really hard to improve my calculus

  • You made some small mistakes, out of confusion i think? It happens sometimes. Anyways the vid was great!

  • is it me or did you calculate all the way up to 90. for question 2 you were only suppose to find the position at 75, not 90.

  • Wow, this video actually helped! I'm actually doing a free response problem from the 2001 AP calculus test for homework, and it has the graph of Acceleration. Thanks!

  • is it just me or how the hell in the quality of this video so amazing?

  • bro last time i checked, 1/2 (15) (10) = 75 and thus 225 + 40 = 265!!

  • ya you're right two times .the maths teacher rewrite the same mistake: 0,5*15*10= 75 not 55..but it is a small mistake because under an experiment in physics you should recalculate your result several times before you conclude...Calculus can explain everything...

  • Calculus is the basis for higher level physics I think yall are just typing to see your name on a wall. LOL

  • i agree, i find that i do better in physics and chem because i've taken calculus. everyhing seems so easy when you know calculus

  • yeah you;re right, seems like ur headed the right way :)

  • What are you fucking retarded? Wow someone has to be on dope to say that bullshit. School fucking rocks. Sorry for the crude language.

  • i could solve that just using kinematics. ap physics is the way to go. im not even in precalculus and you dont need to use all those integrals and derivatives

  • You will in college.

  • uhhh.... good so far... but u screwed up in a calculation at 8:32 15x5 isnt 5.... its 75 lol

  • Wait, what that does the semicircle represent?

  • distance? what a crappy teacher. Distance isnt a vector... If you talk about Velocity and Acceleration, you have to talk about Displacement

  • Gee you're real smart usin' all those big words and stuff

  • Not really, just know my Physics

  • lol, you'd be surprised at how many Calculus teachers dislike Physics.

  • math teachers in general! interestingly, the best math teacher i ever had got his BS in physics and somehow transitioned into mathematics. in fact, ive learned more math from physicists than mathematicians.

  • Haha, that really is interesting.

  • math is the language of physics so this is not a surprise.

  • hmm.. all made sense and i'm 15.. .but i would have made equations lol... e.g. the circle wouldn't take long 1/2(r^2-x^2)^0.5 but it could have taken longer i suppose...

  • Loved the clip. However, #1 I wouldn't have changed colors, the black looked better and #2 I can send you an old whiteboard eraser if you need one. Great show though.

  • OK so he made a mistake but chek this out. midnight tutor is the re =carnation of GOTTFRIED LEIBNIZ (minus the wig),who was co-discoverer of CALCULUS!!! check his pic out on wiki!!!

  • hey umm bluedog leave it be it's like 1 in the morning and he's taking time out of his LIFE to help and teach people. i think people will catch the mistake as well as the man whom posted the video the important thing here is that he knows what he's talking about if you don't have anything nice to say don't post.

  • Velocity is the first "Time" derivitive. You have to say "Time" Thanks.

  • Almost all the answers were common sense responses (Either that or APCalc is THAT easy). That guy seems to be a little nervous when speaking and thus making him to have so many mistakes. Anyways this vid helps, keep it up

  • haha, i emailed them about the mistakes...

i was looking at it and iw as like "uh...it's 75...not...55..??"

    haha

  • lol, 15x5 is not 55.

  • super put please do use great marker b/c it's harder to see.

  • hahaha! he got #2 WRONG! he did s(90) instead of s(75)
