no the show isnt scripted but they have to have people at locasions to set up lights, audio and so on. the cast is put into different situations and they react the way they do, they do not follow a script.

It's not scripted. Everything is real. The producers and such just put them in situations that they have to react to. For example, when Stephanie (Spencer's sister) shows up at that club and yells at Lauren. The hills producer probably told her to show up at that club. They don't tell her what to say to Lauren or tell Lauren how to react. They just put them in situations. Make sense?

It does suck though. I love the Hills.
