@barriseu, Mark Knopfler got his musical inspiration from different artists, not Chris Rea. Besides, if you listen to documentaries from MK then you hear how he started playing and not once Rea is mentioned. So I hardly doubt it..

Dire Straits was to all extents and purposes Mark's vehicle, but people tend to forget that John was there with him the whole way from the self titled to On Every Street, and everything in-between. Great song.

If u notice he has a slight touch of knoflers soul somewhere within... the guitars say it all... the style survived. Maybe because they were close and played together for so long. Its fantastic ... wish they go on tour once again ...for the last time!... love u isley.

Wonderful song. I really miss John Illsley, Alan Clark, Chris White and Terry Williams. Mark's music has become a little bit boring without the Dire Straits. John did play such a vital role in the band. Mark's best concerts as "solo artist" were the half reunion concerts in 2001.

Beautiful song John! Great vocals & guitar there, this is how music should be. I love this song. I hope the album gets the recognition it deserves 'cos this song is a masterpiece & the other tracks are top notch too. The musicians (and I use the term loosely) of today could learn a thing or two from you. 70s & 80s music rocks & this is a brilliant example. I'm definitely buying the album.
