  • Just because it can be used for "homeland security" does not justify the use of this technology. Just because it is more efficient than stopping every car on the road for a full inspection does not make it any different. The end result is the same. This technology is unconstitutional. And no I do not care about your single case examples.

  • You hit the mark on this one Congressman. However, I do believe this technology will be adapted for police, military and homeland security use. We might not see the vans scanning our neighborhoods, but I could see during a routine police stop an officer scanning your car or border agents doing the same as people come into the US. I think we should tread carefully.

  • Most republicans are blinded by their fear of terrorism. I'm glad Congressman Chaffetz has continued to break with typical Republicans to oppose these invasive scanners.
