They dance for the one who give them some money. They not study about the standard Thai dance.

this the the people who is dancing in front of the erawan shrine...if he or she pray to the god/goddess...and the wish come true...they have to offer the dance to the god...and this is the old way of that dancing...not the new way

Im guessing this is some unknown thai dance. no finnesse, no originality, no story to back it up. two thumbs down is my rating. this is coming from United states research of southeastasia (RSEA) Team. I'm sorry but compare to khmer dance, their roots and culture is in depth and ancient. More meaningful.

These brief devotional dances at thge Erawan Shrine cannot be compared to the classical Siamese Khon ballet and the grand epic dances of the Ramakein (the Thai version of the Ramayana Saga). The students of these ballet groups study for many years and achieve a superlative degree of grace and artistic expression. tazzytazz, I think you are mistaken. Don't compare apples with oranges.
