Gene Scott classic teaching can be seen on a web site. His wife Melissa Scott plays a 24 hour loop of Gene. There's no 'monkey business' in the lectures. Just solid spiritual teaching. I appreciate Gene's antics very much but if you only see this video you'll miss the other side of him - he was a very good spiritual teacher. I'll be back with the web address . . .

I was lucky enough to see this in a theater. Great film and it was interesting to see after years of watching Scott late nights.Someone should really put some of these Herzog shorts out on DVD.

1) Teaching people through his example that it's OK to constantly be an asshole to other people.
2) Drinking, gambling, smoking, and obsession with money are not Christian values.
3) The bible is a work of fiction, and the characters in it are fictional.

This guy (Gene Scott) was so cool. I watched him for years, because he was simultaneously crazy and totally learned in ancient languages. He would slouch in an armchair smoking a cigar, showing videos of his prize horses or of his sailboat, for hours and hours, rambling about crazy shit, and then suddenly talk for a while about a particular bible verse, giving interpretations from Amharic and Coptic and various obscure languages. He died in 2006.
