Dude awesome. In my opinion it could have a bit more groovy flow from time to time, I mean not to play too harsh but more from the ankles, but hey, who am I anyways? I really dig it and like your ideas, btw: are these black meshheads remo or roland? greetz from Berlin! Michael
So you bought a $6500 electronic set yourself? So that means you would have to save up for a year straight with no expenses since you are not of age to legally work, and that means you would have had to be working since you were about 13?... even so, how would you gather the funds since you are too young to work?? No need to lie, we know mommy and daddy got it for you.
timing, work with a metronome - that's the only thing i can't stress enough; grab a pair of in-ear headphones too, especially when you move on to an acoustic set.
ridiculous improvement over the first demo.
i'd work on not sounding so monotonous on the grooves and having some more dynamics in your fills.
The Yamaha kit does not have all mesh heads, and doesn't sound as good as a Roland module. Not saying the Yamaha kit isn't good for the price, but there is a reason it is worth half the cost of this kit.
What's your opinion on RET Percussion electronic drums? I'm asking because I think you're style would probably be best for those kits. They use real Evans drum heads. It looks like it would play better for you.
Plus, they use software... which Blows module sounds out of the water...
Check out my videos if you're at all interested.

dude ur a great drummer. u have amazing skill with the double bass pedal too. how much did that set cost u with the module(not including sticks, throne, headphones, etc.) i'm close to getting one and i'm trying to narrow my search down by price.
nice playing man. one question, what kind of double bass pedal do u recommend for beginners? i'm getting one for christmas and i need to know what to get. thanks!
Hey bro, all of them are very good, although this is what I reccomend! Go to guitar center, and try out their double basses. Find one which works well with you, and is a decent price. After this ask the guys at guitar center if they have any used bass pedals, now you cant get a pro one at a low price!
if u mean the TAMA iron cobra then i was actually looking at that 1 myself. my decision was between the TAMA iron cobra jr. power glide and the pearl p122tw power shifter.
dude i just noticed something. if ur bass drum pad is mesh too, use the plastic side of the pedal. if u use the felt for too long it actually melts the mesh material.
where the heck do u get the edrums? do u have to order them online? i can't find them anywhere and i had to go with rolands td6v module and set. i wanted something a little better.
dude ur an awsome drummer, but why not junk the old td12 and edrums and get rolands vdrums with a td20 module? u'll have a lot more fun and freedom on it. i like the vdrums better and the v modules better.
Thanks for the compliment man, I do think that the td-20 is better, but also 1,000 dollars more. As for the e-drums themselves, the hart dynamics work just fine :D
hey man sounds good. got some nice rolls down. real clean, maybe switch up the beat here and there though. otherwise sounds great.. im looking into getting an electric kit real soon. have you owned an acoustic before? what are your pro's and con's to electric? just like to know.
I actually own a Yamaha Birch Custom Absolute also.
As for pros and cons - Electric is a bit easier to play than accoustic, and is more fun to fool around on. Accoustic on the other hand has that real drum sound, and is probably better for a live situation. If you do wish to get an electronic set, buy a hart dynamics kit. You will save up to $2,000 as apposed to buying a roland kit, and they both trigger with the same quality.
thanks Dorian. thats funny, i was checkin out a Roland. it wasn't tooo bad, bout $4000. ill look into Hart though for sure. Ive got a Tama set right now, but yeah, i want something to play around on, and record my stuff.
