Troubadors spoke Occitan and were from southern France and the trouveres spoke medieval French and were from northern France. The trouveres stuck around longer than the troubadors because the pope declared war on the Albigensians in the south (troubadors' home) and all their patrons' funds and focus went elsewhere. The trouveres admired the troubadors, though, and they preserved their southern counterparts' work the best that they could.

He left no heir as he was childless.

Could you by any chance tell me what tuning do you have in that 6 course lute? The one used in the "No sap chantar qu'il son no diz"?

The lute is a medieval lute made by Marco Salerno (Italy). It is tuned (from the highest pitch string to the lowest) GDADG, and sometimes GDADD. In No Sap Chantar I used the first tuning!
