  • one hand stand is much easier if you stop in air while a one handed cartwheel.

    I'm practising for a week now and managed to do a few 10~12 second lasting handstands.

    going for 20 seconds now, hope i'll reach that in a week or 2.

  • i started doing handstands from yesterday...thought it would be simpler for me because iam an athlete...i gym ..i run etc... 1st time i did...i toppled over and hurt my hip.... 2nd time i tried i fell back again...

    after that i got the jump right...i get my legs int he air and sometimes straight...but i cant keep it that way.... i get scared and come back down...any tips... how to perfect it...

    btw ur video is gr8 ...u make it look so ez

  • everytime i do a handstand i always loose my balance and fall. its very hard for me to find my balance.what can i do to help me, can you tell me?is the reason why i cant find my balance is because i weight 191 pounds but if thats the case can you just help me because i would really want to know how to a handstand pleases tell me so i could learn because i would really want to learn how to.

  • @mcu123456789 you prob need to work on conditioning the muscles that are needed for a handstand... do sit ups. push ups and if u have equipment do the military press to work your shoulders. Good luck

  • I'd love to do step by step... unfortunately I have one week to master a handstand for ~5sec

    I've been practicing on a wall but it doesn't seem to help, since I can't seem to put the right amount of "effort" to get my legs up. Always too high or too low. Only If I practice without a wall, I stand for 2sec and then fall badly

    What should I do?

  • I hate to disappoint you,,,,,, but it takes following the steps over and over until your body gets it... everyones body is different.... it could take you a few hours, days or weeks... keep workin!

  • i find it really hard to do this and its not to do with my upper body strength. Im 20 but just started college cheerleading, I find it easier to prop against the wall and climb my legs up.

    I think it has somethin to do with the blood going all down to your head and you don't really breathe that much when your doing the handstand are you?

  • improve your breathing while attempting your handstands helps with that, but youre body is just not used to the extra pressure youre creating to your head.

  • Um no....you probably dont want to do it anymore if that continues... If you are upside-down for a long time, then sure, that could happen. Just dont stay up as long.

  • Well, it usualy starts when I'm kind of one 2 minutes upside (of course I do the handstand with a wall behind me)... It's weird... Cause it doesn't really hurt or nothing... It just brings a giant headache :S

  • @Singergirlsb lol....that's beacouse the blod goes t your head...and it's not healthy ,so when it happens,stop for a few minutes,let the blod go around your body and out of your head and hands.

  • All the blood rushing to your head? if so just remember to stay breathing at a normal pace, if it's not that then i'm not to sure. After 1min you might wanna breath very smothly. ^^

  • you are ment to BREATHE in a handstand if u hold ur breath u will go red and feel ill
