I know I still need some gear like Fast cast earring and boxers but i appreciate how dedicated you are to MNK, gives me someone to look up to, instead of just being jealous of the MNKs gear im jealous of you're intelligence lol. MP is even easier to get, it just takes a single WS to fill it up, so it wouldn't have been very interesting.
Regardless, both depend also on gear swaps, If I swap between gear to add elemental resist before a TP move for example I might lose a small amount of MP/HP, but both of those are quickly restored anyways, which is the point of showing why this fight is easy as monk.
That's why leviathan is the 'hardest', just because it keeps curing himself back for ~15% every few minutes. I picked him to show that you can win and you can solo tank him for a long time without ever suffering any damage, and to demonstrate the effect of elemental resist gear swaps on his astral flow and other magic moves.
Also I wanted to show that you can beat it easily still without using hundredfists, formless strikes or chiblast, all of which would give you a much quicker fight.
With staff you can use spirit-taker (WsDmg=>Mp). I can add more specific details on the strategy etc when I get around to making a post on my LJ page for this (in a week or two probably).

The fight is flawless because I end it with full HP and MP, without using 2HRs or any JAs.

A good example of the survivability /RDM and Spirit Taker gives. Do a similar thing with PLD Primate/Kinkobo is very useful.
