Let's apply some logic here. If business owners 'forgot about all but the self' then they'd have no ability to serve their customers. They'd soon go out of business, as companies often do, The fact that it's even possible for a company to go out of business if not enough consumer demand exists to support them also debunks the notion that businesses are 'unaccountable private tyrannies' as Chomsky claims.
