As of the last meeting of the U.N. General Assembly in 2009 to vote on the issue of the U.S. imposed trade embargo against Cuba, 187 countries have voted against it, while only 3 have voted in keeping it in place, the U.S., Israel, and the Palau islands.
But other wise nice job. I agree with the overall message of your video because I think the embargo is an absurd U.S. policy. But we should not ignore that the embargo's significance is much more symbolic than economic, as the real reason for Cuba's economic problems is the inefficient centrally planned economy it has. Yet the embargo gives the US government the perfect excuse to give for their economic failures.
I'm going to point out a few errors in your video:
1)Castro's army was largely composed of young educated men, many of which from Cuba's middle class which believed Castro would bring democracy to Cuba.
2)The embargo was put in place as retaliation for the nationalization of US companies in Cuba not to bring a change in the Cuban government.
3)Sugar is no longer produced in Cuba because it is not worth the man-power to produce it. No country develops from agriculture.
Many of Castro's soldiers were peasants from the Oriente province or Sierra and Escambray Mountains or nearby cities who joined up and were poor or illiterate. They were easily the majority.
