Assume you are on a boat, and 8 people are in respiratory distress, one of whom shot three people for no reason. You happen to only have 7 respirators. What do you do?
Assume you are on a planet. 7 000 000 000 people need a heart, one of whom is dangerous for the others. You only have 6 999 999 999 hearts. What do you do?
one problem with this is that such a high demand for organs could make it easier to get the death sentence for lesser crimes or just without being proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. The jury shouldn't know the defendant's wishes beforehand.
But I love the idea of letting the inmates on death row choose to donate organs, even if forcing them to, or assuming they will, could do more harm than good.
Inmates should be forced to give up there organs regardless of what he/she belives. this should happen all over the world.. imagine the mind that killers organs could save imagine the diffrences to the world that one mind could change. but no our country is so full of do gooders that we cannot benifit from the people who have done us wrong.

Although I never thought of this matter, but now that you mention this, it seems like a good idea. Allow the Death Row to donate their organs: let them save lives with their deaths.
@SuperiorDeity It's been determained that a human head will stay alive for a few seconds after decapitation, So people find it inhumane to allow the person to see his body with no head. Also I'd imagine it hurts, quite a bit really.
If the criminals are ganna get killed, they might aswell do something with their organs. I like that idea! Anyways, killing a person is wrong and the death penalty is like a revenge and revenge is bad too. In my point of view.
One of the big problems I can think of would be finding a doctor willing to do this. I mean, isn't one of the big controversies behind lethal injection that poorly trained PRISON STAFF are administering and botching the procedure?
It is a difficult argument, harvesting the organs of people who have committed crimes worthy of death would obviously be very beneficial. But why should these people who may have killed people in potentially horrific and brutally painful ways be subjected to such a painless death? After all, innocent people are unlikely to meet their end as painlessly through natural causes.
this is the world we live in. Since the death of inmates actually now brings capital to the market, it would certainly speed up the line. I approve on this idea.
Unfortunately for this idea, any government that does not value life enough to ban Capital Punishment does not value life enough to bother with all the legal problems resulting in trying to get this legislation into law.

Though it would be nice to see capital punishment vanish all together, I think it would be a very good idea to give the prisoners the choice of donating his or her organs. The main problem with it is that it will create another argument against abolishing the death penalty.
I can already see the emotionally bloated ad: "For every murderer you save, 12 innocent children must die!"
Well, I think that the personality is in the brain, so no fretting over having some killers organs. I'm not so sure about capital punishment, but as long as it's going on, it might as well save some lives.
Just like abortions. I don't agree with the act (well.. . it's complicated, anyway) as long as it's happening, some people might as well benefit from it.
Just imagine having the heart of a Mass Murder. You would literally have not only a dead mans but also an evil dead mans heart. But hey if you start feeling evil just call your doctor to get a new one. Sure its expensive, but being good would be worth it.
the problem is if there is a benefit to the death of an inmate, there may be illegal underdealings to kill the inmate for the benefit of others. Thus the decision of death of the inmate may no longer solely based on his or her crimes. This encourages foul play and may do more harm to society than good in my opinion.
@tombr325 Yes, in many US states the inmate can still choose between electrocution or lethal injection. The last person executed in the electric chair was Paul Warner Powell, who was executed in Virginia's electric chair on March 18, 2010.

this would result in much more death penalties, because when the judge has to decide if the person is guilty or not ( if the person should get executed or not )he would be choosing between a possible criminal living his life or 7+ people not dying ! So im guessing there would be way more death punishments than ever before ! ( im not saying its good or bad , maybe more death penalties is just what this world needs )
Taking the organs of inmates would just be some creepy excuse for the death penalty. But the death penalty can't be excused. It's like asking "shouldn't the death screams of people the government tortures be used for horror movies?".
my reason as to why that person needs to die is because they murdered 30 people, a person like that doesn't deserve to be loose on society, and is not worth to money spent keeping them alive in a prison for the rest of their life.
how can killing somebody cost more than $60,000 a year for the rest of their life? and what life are you trying to save these people for? so they can waste away in a cell for however many years while they wait to die of old age? how about the pain of having murdered someone on your conscience, how about justice for the victims and their families?
1. If you are for murder of murderers because it is better for them ("waste away", "pain") in some sort of strange paternalistic mercy, you would have to ask their permission. But obviously they could commit suicide if they don't want to "waste away" or live in "pain". So the question whether they are punished (define "punishment", please) or not has nothing to do with it. It's a logical fallacy to pretend to be mercyful while not accepting the receiver's own plans.
1. "Being a consequence of something" isn't a definition.
2. "Deterrent" - here we go: Most of the people sentenced to death didn't know whether the death sentence is legal in their state or not. Most of the people sentenced to death committed their crime either under the influence of a drug (mainly alcohol) or in an extreme emotion (rage, jealousy, etc.). What does a deterrent help, then?
3. Caring for people shouldn't be dependend on how they are programmed.
Why should we care for these people at all, you can say its not their fault they were programmed that way but whatever, we still can kill them if they are too dangerous and undeserving of life.
Why is the death penalty such a bad thing to you?
this wold eventually lead to hordes of zombie supersoldiers created under the black budget by the cia...prolly already happened...that's why i stay strapped...i will not be caught slippin in the event of a zombie apocalypse...fuck what you heard, it's what you hearing...i'll be at walmart when the shit goes down...limber up, double tap, and cardio...fuck a seatbelt tho
.... uhh kinda creeped me out. Granted current method of capital punishment destroys all the organs, something about having a heart removed in surgery as a form of modern mayan death seems,,,,,, creepy. Course also capital punishment in general is kinda inhumane and creepy.
@kingssman2 but don't you also consider it inhumane to have criminals who have killed a whole family or coerced hundreds of women into sexual slavery to actually enjoy a decent life where they are fed and have a place to live? The organs that may be procured can SAVE an innocent existing life. You hear of people WAITING for a kind soul to donate their own organs to save their life. But because organs are so vital not many are too willing. Please reconsider your thoughts.
Ha ha, yeah. Then they start to think... "well we need those hearts so bad... I guess we can kill thieves and drunk drivers too. In fact... why don't we make... being too fat A CRIME! Then we can have their organs too!"
If being to fat was a crime and you wanted their organs most of the organs would have problems since fat people are generally the ones with bad hearts, livers ect.
How bout this... if sexual harrasment was a crime worth a death penalty, it would be more profitable. I mean there are so many insecure women out there (you could propably get arrested by looking them the wrong way) and the guys who grope them are generally in good shape. Win-Win! :)
A most excellent idea. If only the use of IV drugs wasn't so widespread in US prisons (and almost all others really). All those lovely organs contaminated with heroin, HIV and AIDS.
in some points, a good idea... but the question is 'is the human race ready for such?' there have been many instances that we have overdone things because of greed... and considering the incentives of this type of execution (in an 'ethical' standpoint, having more organs that can be used for transplants... to the economic benefits of having the right to sale of such organs), killing inmates would become much more 'positive'... not denying willing inmates' pleas to donate would be enough...
You have no idea how hard it is to put some on death row to begin with and then follow with an execution. There's going to be millions of dollars spent on your trial (i'm not kidding), then appeals from your lawyer are going to slow things down, once you're convicted, it'll cost the government even more money to feed you and give you a personal room with extra guards and barbed wire. It simply is not worth the time and money for the government to kill for organs...
1. im christian and i think this is a no brainer. Good idea!
2. God is fair -the ultimate judge. Read the bible - There is no way hed punish you for what your body is made of, but your actions and thoughts, and the people you make hate christians
3. for each fundamentalist christian who bible bashes, there is ten who just chill
this should, with out a doubt be implimented into all countries throughout the world, so many lives would be saved, and it would offer a less disturbing way to die for the inmate versus the electric chair or being hung
seriously, if i was an on deathrow, i wont mind donating my organs cause atleast i did something good before i died. it also sums up the whole idea of "an eye for an eye"..
why don't you ask some 20 year old, barely out of school whose just found out he is destined to die before his life could even begin? A small child, crying with his mother at night because he's scared at his ailing condition? why don't you ask them if they really want that transplant? The prime benefit of organs from inmates is because organs can only be kept outside the body for a limited amount of time, this way they will be ready on demand.
If you investigate what is happening in China, you will see it is not a good idea to harvest organs of inmates. Generally, people who have lost rights are easy prey for greed and evil.
Besides, who wants the heart of a killer? Some people experience changes in personality after transplants, and take on some aspects of character of the donor, and science can't explain it. Before saying yes to this, read about what is going on in China. Google, "Organ Harvesting in China's Labor Camps."
What? A human's personality lies in their brain, every living thing on earth has their memories, personality, etc. in their brains. And if these criminals are to die anyway, why not let them do one last good act? Looking at it from a strange point of view: A man kills three people and is charged with a death sentence. His organs save eight people from certain death. That means eight people live from the sacrifice of four. Maybe the ancient Mayans just needed a heart.
so now you see and know it all huh? think about this... why is it that some people can have half their brain blown out of their skull and still remember everything, but their body is the only thing that does not function correctly? Who said the memories, and personality is stored in the brain? You? give me proof.
Because only part is blown away. Certain parts of your brain control your bodily actions, and some your emotions and memory, which shape your personality. Those people simply had the part blown away that allows them to walk. The brain can also morph to repair itself. It is able to reallocate the functions of a piece of lost brain tissue to another area of the brain, which is why some brain-damage victims improve.
China is China. America is different. I can't believe you even compared the US to China...
Further, like minimovies said, your body organs do not influence your personality. It's your brain that controls what you do, keeps all of those memories, and generally shapes who you are. Go investigate that instead of churning out conspiracy theories and misleading ideas.
I Repeat:look at China and you will see that executing for organs is not a good idea. Yes, China is very corrupt, but that's because they don't follow any laws, only the ones they make up, and in the communist manifesto there is no God but communism, so doing anything for communism is allowed.
In US (under God) it is more like, given the situation, some people's hearts would get greedy and they would go against the law to satisfy that greed. Then some executions for organs would be for profit.
Tehe... it amuses me that you think (under god) you're safe from your own government. Chin obeys it's dictators as much as you do, except your dictators are called industry leaders.
Maybe we should consider executing 1000 prisoners a year and harvesting them organs... just like in China. No wait... better make it 1500... little Suzie needs a liver.
I think prisoners on death row should be offered the opportunity to donate organs as we all are on our driver's licenses or whatever. It should be their choice. If not, don't force it. They may get released on appeal so as it was aid earlier dont make it a general practice because it will lead to unethical behavior.
Although i am 5 months late to reply to your comment, i still wont sign up to be a donor because i believe when i die i still feel all the pain i would if i am alive. So if they cut me open and rip out my organs i will feel it, NO THANKS.
no, china does not support it. THose people who harvest the organs are part of an internal organization. Harvesting organs can be a dangerous, deadly thing. So how is it any different from murder if the person has to unwillingly give up thier organs. Murder is against the law.
A slippery slope -- you effectively perpetuate capital punishment in this model: consider that the long-term effects are the assigned value to human life, innocent people > convicted felon, right? well... after many generations of execution, a judge may have adopted that into the decision process, and the 'organ market' is dependent on that 'transaction' -- effectively , securing more executions in the future at the discretion of the social acceptance of organ harvesting...
In a way it sounds interesting , but it's also sad , because in a death row the inmate always struggle for life and appreciate his life till the last moments when he says good bye , but if it's done the way shown in the video it would be like he is accept the fact that he is going to die anyway so it's better make use of his death it's like he's giving up ,despite how guilty he would be;it would still make me sad
Makes me feel sad for the doctor who'd have to essentially kill a perfectly healthy person. Kind of going against the doctors calling.. It'd be a sad situation all around.
This is brilliant, and I've been saying it for years. As long as they don't have any communicable diseases, then, by all means harvest. :) As for the ghetto comment, I was raised in Newark, NJ. People smoked crack where I lived. My mom was a single mom, and she raised me alone. We grew up poor, and it made me a better person. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, get an education, and grow up.
You know, the Russians had a head start in this. Before the October Revolition, the Czarist government funded a project ot look into teh viability of drainging dead bodies of blood before it went bad. They acctually had some success.
Growing up in a bad neighborhood greatly increases your chances of becoming a criminal. You had at least one decent person taking care of you when you were a child. Some kids don't even have that much, since their parents are drug addicts. Is it really that much of a surprise when they become some of the worst criminals our society has seen?
The point that is being made is not about capital punishment in america. It is saying there already is capital punishment in a america so why not make the most of it and donate organs?
I agree - the death penalty is an utter waste and should be stopped. It leaves no room for redemption or forgiveness - and before you go saying some peple don't deserve forgiveness - don't be ridiculous - everyone deserves it.
So instead of using the organs of a Child rapest to save over 10 lives we should give them life in prisson? where they can consume more resorces just waiting for death? what a waste.
So you're saying that the guy who killed a dozen people should live in jail while people die with out properly working organs? You're right, great call you made.
I'm saying that the guy who killed a dozen people should go to jail, be reformed, and eventually receive a second chance in the real world after receiving a proper education. Americans should focus on promoting justice, not revenge.
You assume that the person who killed all those people CAN be reformed, or that they didn't receive a proper education. Some people are just bad. And beside that, there are many gang members in the world who would honestly DIE before quiting their gang, which means by default selling drugs and killing people, or at the smallest level fighting. So, what do you do with those who can NOT be reformed? You say they deserve a second chance, what about those with bad organs not getting a first chance?
Your statement shows just how unenlightened you are when it comes to the death penalty. If you understood criminal behavior, you would know that it is a way of expressing social ills. By the time a person has committed several murders, in some cases it's too late to reform them. The key is to help those people while they are still children. The overwhelming majority of death row inmates are people who never really had a decent shot at life. Butchering them like animals is not just.
But it is unjust. While we are at it, should be also shoot old people in the back of the head and bury them in a mass grave because it would be cheaper than taking care of them in nursing homes?
Admititly that is a good point, but then, the only people who would argure that old people should be killed like that are the ones who end up under the needld. A big (and sad) truth about humans is that they desire REVENGE!
And this video is being pragmatic, rather then trying to vouch foir the morality of the penalty.
The ideal route to take would be prevention. We should do more to reach at-risk children living in ghetto neighborhoods in single parent households. More has to be done to address the fundamental issues of poverty, lack of opportunity and despair. Many death row inmates never had a shot at a decent future. Instead, their unfortunate life circumstances lead them down a path of failure. Most people fail to realize this.
now imagine what would happen if you get a corrupt judge who hands out deathrow for the promise of organs..This is actually happening to falun Gong practitioners in china where the ccp harvests the organs of anyone considered a dissident often without a trial and the only crime commited is practicing a yoga style meditation which is banned
In this video a criminal is a HE not a SHE nor is there a possibility of the orangs being taken from a HER. Just another anti-male propaganda of the feminist society of America.
I say any first degree felons should be put on death row and maybe 20 arrests would work too, but I don't see a reason to execute someone who was caught with marijuana 20 times.
Reinvent it? I don't see any point to it whatsoever. I've never broken any laws, in my opinion those who do don't really belong on my planet, and really what's the point of the legal system in the first place? I just don't see any point to paying all those lawyers, officers and judges. If parents did their jobs properly that is.
Ahh.. blame the parents who have to spend 16 hours every day working (or driving to) part time jobs just to make ends meet. Kinda hard to teach kids when you are being worked to death.
They chose to have children, meaning they chose to work 16 hours a day! And if they are both working 16 hours a day then they made the wrong decision. How simple is that? No children were ever born accidentally. As I said, bad parents raise bad kids who don't know how to think. See my point!?
I agree in principle but theres a huge issue with medical ethics. No legit practicing doctor anywhere in the world should feel ok about performing these procedures on a healthy living human being.
That's where you are wrong my friend.. It's been proved that body parts have some of the info of who you are.. Stuff you think about and shit, that's proved that if you get another man's body parts you start to like things that he liked and such..
The odds that a killers heart, kidneys, liver, etc was the cause of their mental problems is remote to nil. You are correct that the neurons within these areas can affect the subconscious, however the effects of these alien neurons will soon be rewritten to suit your mind. The only sensible thing that I can think of to worry about is defective organs which somehow create body chemistry problems that lead to mental problems.
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It has nothing to do with mental health. I'm a lung recipient and nothing is different, some breathing problems and one hell of a scar. other than that there is no difference.
NOTHING mental from the donor is transferred to the recipient.
This animation looks somewhat like the style of young Israeli artist Yotam "Lazy Muffin" Peril, who has an account here on youtube as user "LazyPillow".
i think they're skirting some ethics here. if putting someone on death row generates organs for donation, that's almost an incentive to sentence more people to death. it could even result in states that banned the sentence to reinstate it. if the prisoners can donate their organs, they may be afforded the right to sell them, which would in effect be a profit incurred by committing a horror. also, the donation may not be permitted because inmates are high risk for disesaes like hep-b and aids.
I had the same idea today!
What do you do?

why not let the people who commit the crime decide whether or not they should be punished?
you don't know what justice means? or you would like us to come to an agreement on the term before we use it in debate?
hateterrorists 2 years ago
2. Agreement on the term.
trakkaton 2 years ago
punishment is an action to be done as a consequence of a crime so as well as acting as a deterrent it helps cure society of the problematic people.
Why do you care so much for these people, they remove somebody else from existence without any right to do so?
hateterrorists 2 years ago
4. Why do they do it?
5. Next one.
trakkaton 2 years ago
Why should we care for these people at all, you can say its not their fault they were programmed that way but whatever, we still can kill them if they are too dangerous and undeserving of life.
Why is the death penalty such a bad thing to you?
hateterrorists 2 years ago
1. We care for people because we don't want to live in hell on earth.
2. If someone is too dangerous, there are other means to avoid future complications.
3. Who decides who is undeserving of life, by which standard and why?
4. The death penalty is murdering a lot of innocent people. It is irreversible, expensive, racist, unjust, barbaric, irrational, etc. etc.

It's an interesting concept. A) A more humane way to kill those who are receiving capital punishment and b) saving lives in the process....
....this video could do without the blood and the eerie music tho.
Of course. Capitol punishment is a stupid idea to begin with.
Actionman1988 2 years ago 2
.... uhh kinda creeped me out. Granted current method of capital punishment destroys all the organs, something about having a heart removed in surgery as a form of modern mayan death seems,,,,,, creepy. Course also capital punishment in general is kinda inhumane and creepy.
kingssman2 2 years ago 13
@kingssman2 but don't you also consider it inhumane to have criminals who have killed a whole family or coerced hundreds of women into sexual slavery to actually enjoy a decent life where they are fed and have a place to live? The organs that may be procured can SAVE an innocent existing life. You hear of people WAITING for a kind soul to donate their own organs to save their life. But because organs are so vital not many are too willing. Please reconsider your thoughts.

@kingssman2 Did you watch the last 30 seconds?

If being to fat was a crime and you wanted their organs most of the organs would have problems since fat people are generally the ones with bad hearts, livers ect.

@warcrap Aaahh, you're right. Hmmm...

All those lovely organs contaminated with heroin, HIV and AIDS.
jimmyinexile 2 years ago
in some points, a good idea... but the question is 'is the human race ready for such?' there have been many instances that we have overdone things because of greed... and considering the incentives of this type of execution (in an 'ethical' standpoint, having more organs that can be used for transplants... to the economic benefits of having the right to sale of such organs), killing inmates would become much more 'positive'... not denying willing inmates' pleas to donate would be enough...
princesscye 2 years ago
what if they take the organs before they died and then kill the person by throwing him into a box full of kitties!!!!
increiblegm95 2 years ago
what if your gov exec you just to sell your organ?
asst9999 2 years ago
You have no idea how hard it is to put some on death row to begin with and then follow with an execution. There's going to be millions of dollars spent on your trial (i'm not kidding), then appeals from your lawyer are going to slow things down, once you're convicted, it'll cost the government even more money to feed you and give you a personal room with extra guards and barbed wire. It simply is not worth the time and money for the government to kill for organs...

why don't you ask some 20 year old, barely out of school whose just found out he is destined to die before his life could even begin? A small child, crying with his mother at night because he's scared at his ailing condition? why don't you ask them if they really want that transplant? The prime benefit of organs from inmates is because organs can only be kept outside the body for a limited amount of time, this way they will be ready on demand.
In0god0we0trust 2 years ago
If you investigate what is happening in China, you will see it is not a good idea to harvest organs of inmates. Generally, people who have lost rights are easy prey for greed and evil.
Besides, who wants the heart of a killer? Some people experience changes in personality after transplants, and take on some aspects of character of the donor, and science can't explain it. Before saying yes to this, read about what is going on in China. Google, "Organ Harvesting in China's Labor Camps."
mosaiclife 2 years ago
MinimoviesInc 2 years ago 18
so now you see and know it all huh? think about this... why is it that some people can have half their brain blown out of their skull and still remember everything, but their body is the only thing that does not function correctly? Who said the memories, and personality is stored in the brain? You? give me proof.
mosaiclife 2 years ago
Because only part is blown away. Certain parts of your brain control your bodily actions, and some your emotions and memory, which shape your personality. Those people simply had the part blown away that allows them to walk. The brain can also morph to repair itself. It is able to reallocate the functions of a piece of lost brain tissue to another area of the brain, which is why some brain-damage victims improve.
MinimoviesInc 2 years ago
China is China. America is different. I can't believe you even compared the US to China...
Further, like minimovies said, your body organs do not influence your personality. It's your brain that controls what you do, keeps all of those memories, and generally shapes who you are. Go investigate that instead of churning out conspiracy theories and misleading ideas.
Chinua3 2 years ago
I Repeat:look at China and you will see that executing for organs is not a good idea. Yes, China is very corrupt, but that's because they don't follow any laws, only the ones they make up, and in the communist manifesto there is no God but communism, so doing anything for communism is allowed.
In US (under God) it is more like, given the situation, some people's hearts would get greedy and they would go against the law to satisfy that greed. Then some executions for organs would be for profit.

I think prisoners on death row should be offered the opportunity to donate organs as we all are on our driver's licenses or whatever. It should be their choice. If not, don't force it. They may get released on appeal so as it was aid earlier dont make it a general practice because it will lead to unethical behavior.

China sends innocent people to death to harvest their organs because it turned out to be so profitable...
I say capital punishment gives the state too much control anyway, we should lock dangerous people up for life instead.
pikmindoctor 2 years ago 2
no, china does not support it. THose people who harvest the organs are part of an internal organization. Harvesting organs can be a dangerous, deadly thing. So how is it any different from murder if the person has to unwillingly give up thier organs. Murder is against the law.
kamcomic1 2 years ago

Growing up in a bad neighborhood greatly increases your chances of becoming a criminal. You had at least one decent person taking care of you when you were a child. So you're saying that the guy who killed a dozen people should live in jail while people die with out properly working organs? You're right, great call you made.
Dhuman571 2 years ago 2
I'm saying that the guy who killed a dozen people should go to jail, be reformed, and eventually receive a second chance in the real world after receiving a proper education. Americans should focus on promoting justice, not revenge.
mikekazik1 2 years ago
You assume that the person who killed all those people CAN be reformed, or that they didn't receive a proper education. Some people are just bad. And beside that, there are many gang members in the world who would honestly DIE before quiting their gang, which means by default selling drugs and killing people, or at the smallest level fighting. So, what do you do with those who can NOT be reformed? You say they deserve a second chance, what about those with bad organs not getting a first chance?
Dhuman571 2 years ago
Your statement shows just how unenlightened you are when it comes to the death penalty. If you understood criminal behavior, you would know that it is a way of expressing social ills. By the time a person has committed several murders, in some cases it's too late to reform them. The key is to help those people while they are still children. The overwhelming majority of death row inmates are people who never really had a decent shot at life. Butchering them like animals is not just.
mikekazik1 2 years ago 2
Of course some are just loons.
And part of it is money. In my experience it is almost easier and simpler to destroy reather then build.
flyingace1234 2 years ago
But it is unjust. While we are at it, should be also shoot old people in the back of the head and bury them in a mass grave because it would be cheaper than taking care of them in nursing homes?
mikekazik1 2 years ago
Admititly that is a good point, but then, the only people who would argure that old people should be killed like that are the ones who end up under the needld. A big (and sad) truth about humans is that they desire REVENGE!
And this video is being pragmatic, rather then trying to vouch foir the morality of the penalty.
flyingace1234 2 years ago
I'm in agreement, contingent on reform rates. Do enough inmates get reformed to justify the cost of the prison, organs, etc. I am pessimistic.
Realistically, I like the idea of organ harvesting capital punishment. But, at the same time, we should still attempt reform.
aliew27 2 years ago
The ideal route to take would be prevention. We should do more to reach at-risk children living in ghetto neighborhoods in single parent households. More has to be done to address the fundamental issues of poverty, lack of opportunity and despair. Many death row inmates never had a shot at a decent future. Instead, their unfortunate life circumstances lead them down a path of failure. Most people fail to realize this.
mikekazik1 2 years ago 3
now imagine what would happen if you get a corrupt judge who hands out deathrow for the promise of organs..This is actually happening to falun Gong practitioners in china where the ccp harvests the organs of anyone considered a dissident often without a trial and the only crime commited is practicing a yoga style meditation which is banned
SayNo2MadeInChina 2 years ago
Catch 22.
States have death penalty but doesn't want to save other lives.
States that don't have them can't get donations, and the inmates die of old age in jail, thus making donations pointless by then.
They want to at least do something good before they go, but justice doesn't recognize helping others.
They rather promote revenge as in death instead of good deeds.

They chose to have children, meaning they chose to work 16 hours a day! And if they are both working 16 hours a day then they made the wrong decision. How simple is that? No children were ever born accidentally. As I said, bad parents raise bad kids who don't know how to think. See my point!?

The odds that a killers heart, kidneys, liver, etc was the cause of their mental problems is remote to nil. You are correct that the neurons within these areas can affect the subconscious, however the effects of these alien neurons will soon be rewritten to suit your mind. The only sensible thing that I can think of to worry about is defective organs which somehow create body chemistry problems that lead to mental problems.

especially when prisons are privatized.
inmates and their parts are not property, and neither are you. remember that.
anarchyclayman 2 years ago
i think they're skirting some ethics here. if putting someone on death row generates organs for donation, that's almost an incentive to sentence more people to death. it could even result in states that banned the sentence to reinstate it. if the prisoners can donate their organs, they may be afforded the right to sell them, which would in effect be a profit incurred by committing a horror. also, the donation may not be permitted because inmates are high risk for disesaes like hep-b and aids.
