Westboro Baptist folk are actually not easy to deal with. I was at a counter protest toward them and it was all vulgarities and ad homs. I don't know how to explain it but they can be frustrating to the point where all you can do is ignore them. In fact the Vermont LGBT community did that. They counter protested one year and the next year ignored them because they felt the counters just fed their hate. TAA did a good interview with Shirley Phelps awhile back, you've probably seen it.
