Another lame album from a band that was once the best in the buisness. Love that comment about them returning to there format from the 80s that made them great! lol. Personaly this album sounds like another comercial peice of crap that they have been writing for the past 20 years. Id love to hear these guys write another hardcore thrash album!! Something like Justice or puppets! Oh well i guess there old and dont care anymore. Thank GOD for SLAYER!!!!!! Still hardcore till the end!

@jilg74 I actually think Dave Lombardo and Kerry King on That Metal Show saying that is was "a decent attempt" whatever that means. Actually Dave said that so maybe King does like it, I think it's a perfect combo of being old school metallica with the normal changing of a band over the years. Look at Aerosmith.

@downfan1 No i wasn´t referring of that show that host Dave and Kerry, it was an interview to Kerry in some guitar center in December 2008 just 3 months after Death Magnetic release...he said clearly that Death Magnetic is amazing and he´s very second choice after Master of Puppets along Metallica discography.
