I learned an awesome model today at an interview, of all places. The "as compared to" model for subtraction. Take "7 - 2". This can be read as "7 as compared to 2", which leads to an answer of "they are comparably 5 apart".
It also works for subtracting negatives! "7 - -2" can be read as "7 as compared to -2", which leads to an answer of 9 since 7 and -2 are comparably 9 spaces apart!
Yeah, once again this video was made a long time ago. I no longer have the software to add on to it, but someday I may purchase it again.
It only took a few days to come up with the idea and go over to fix errors, it was make with RPG MakerXP. It's a program that allows people to make basic RPG's that know very little about major coding languages, and has it's own code (Ruby I think it was).
There are games made by it that's more like 3D as well, they were made by people who really knew Ruby.
I could also make a custom math game. If your child is having problems with certain math problems, or you just want them to practice certain ones more.
Just send me a message telling me what your interested in (what kind of math problems, how many ect.) and i'll get back with you soon as i can with a estimated price and time frame it will take. If you prefer your child to practice certain problems let me know what they are. Thank you.
Damn that's a hard game. :D Really I think it's a good idea to mix math with games. Something certain kids can relate to. But what level is this, if a kid is too young to figure out 1 + 1, i think that he might be a lil young to play video games anyway. But i don't have kids and not sure when they start. Anyway good job i love rpgs.
Well some parents who have the time to set with there child can help them with the game, that way they learn the math and how to play games at the same time :).
It's "very" basic right now, just something I thought of one day. I haven't had much time with work to work on it anymore since it didn't really sell.
If you would learn to read ;) it is a game for "Young kids just learning there addition/subtraction". So read the description before you comment next time...

Yep i made it. Thought of it one day after going to my sisters and seeing my neice practicing her math problems.
Its only 10 levels long. But, if it sells i will make more "versions".
