Sol Hoopii plays Indiana March on the Steel Guitar

I discovered Sol's music from an early Rounder Records LP (Master of the Hawaiian Guitar 011661102422) I bought on a visit to Rounder in Somerville, MA, in 1977, when I was taken there to visit by the records producer, whose name escapes me at present. This began a life long love of the music of Sol Hoopii. Thank you Greg for sharing your father's precious memories and live performances of Sol.

Were it not for Sol, there might never have been country guitar as we know it today - those who remember knew it as the Hawaiian steel guitar. A family favorite along with Andy Aiona.
