I am South African and I must say this was the most intelligent interview apart from Oprah's interviews. The most intelligent American television interview I have ever watched, it's airheaded it's about he character that the guest actor plays and I love that because now I have a broader understanding of who sheldon is and who jim is..it's just all wonderfull i enjoyed it.
Tavis Smiley is one of the most intelligent hosts. I adore his questions and I have the impression Jim is very excited about his questions. The truly fit with each other ;)
Wow. I love Jim's appearances on Craig Ferguson for hearing about Jim himself, but this was by far the best interview I've seen about The Big Bang Theory! If only it could have been longer.
omg! JIm and Sheldon is like north and south pole. Sheldon smart, rude, narcissistic and totally anal. But, Jim seems to be so smart, polite and very articulative. I think Jim is one of the kindness and honest person I have seen on TV.
He's so smart! Cause even though I get a lot of the verbal acumen about theoretical physics and the like, I think the majority of the fans (myself included) watch it for the little everyday quirks that everyone deals with and the fact that you don't need to know scientific theories to enjoy it.
@macrent2 Aspergers syndrome is not autism, i have aspergers syndrome myself.
Asperger's syndrome is an ASD (Autistic spectrum disorder).
With classic autism you're worse then with aspergers syndrome. Classic autism lacks more abilities then with aspergers. With aspergers syndrome you lack some skills (mostly social skills) But easy to live with.
Awesome interview! I can bet the actors appreciate the questions Tavis throws at them unlike the fluffy garbage they get from those "entertainment shows" airheads.
Jim Parsons is so much like an American version of one of my friends!

I would so love to see the Character Sheldon hook up with Penny but the writers just somehow got uninspired in the fifth season :(

i like it when the interviewer actually knows about the show and they're not just reading off cards.

His Sheldon character is so classically Autistic.
Master260457 1 year ago
@Master260457 Sheldon has the Asperger's syndrome, to be specific, which is not autism (although they have some symptomps in common)
neonai1989 1 year ago
@neonai1989
The character hasn't been diagnosed with it. He has many of the symptoms of Asperger's, but he doesn't officially have the disorder.

what's that noise in the background on 02:10 - 02:35 (when he talked about safety net something)
hatciyh 1 year ago 2
@hatciyh Sounds like a laughter track from a programme playing in the background.

@hatciyh
It sounds like laughter and a little bit of dialouge from the episode when sheldon ends up in jail.
