Dear Paola, I authorize you to use my words of tribute to Ibrahim Akef. I have never even seen YouTube and don't how to use it. Please be in touch with any information about celebrations of the this great artist. He gave me a little of his soul, he trained me like a horse to dance, and his memory will always live in my heart. Blessings, Asmahan [...]
Thanks Paola you have my permission to post my comments. Ibrahim Akef was a unique and highly talented artist.I had the opportunity to interview him, and observe his teaching and creative process on a number of occasions. I will need to research and look through my notes and stored materials. Please keep me posted on your progress, and know that I would like to be involved with the staged presentation of his work, if it is possible.
What a shame. He died with a lot of knowledge that was not passed on because he was very tempermental and would not give interviews. I wanted so badly to meet him but never got the chance. Thanks for this.
Thanks for this, he is amazing...he will remains in all of you who studied with him and all of us who have the pleasure to watch him in vids. Long Live Maestro!!
He was amazing ! The master's master teacher and a designer of the stage.Rest in peace
