@badman2009 I agree, at least it's something of a mixed blessing that it never took off. On one hand it would probably have been lost in translation if it were dubbed into English but on the other, it means finding episodes translated into English is really difficult.

I don't honestly understand what the problem was and why it never took off. I think it's because it's not set in the post apocalyptic future, but the action was still kick ass and lost none of the sad undertones of the original.

It's a prequal to Fist of the North Star, The story takes place in the 30's.

The main character is Kasumi Kenshiro who the 62nd successor of Hokuto Shin Ken....His brother is Kasumi

Ramon(aka Ryuuken in Fist of the North Star)who later

becomes the 63rd successor he later teaches Raoh, Toki

, Jagi, and Kenshiro Hokuto Shin Ken.

Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star is said to be the reincarnation of Kasumi Kenshiro but they are not

related to eachother.
