Well, I LOVE Mumford & Sons and found out about Ellie when listening to hem. So I'm actually glad she did this cover. It's a cool song and she did a good job on it.

It's not like she put it on an album or anything…people sing other people's song all the time. She sang it well! I sure couldn't do that. I bet they would love her cover anyways.

Ellie, we get it. You're a good singer, but singing this song is ruining both you and Mumford and Sons. Leave this type of music to them. For you even to be singing this song, I find as a clear pointer that you are running out of inspiration and ideas. Other than that, people who read this, please do not think is disrespect Ellie. She's great! But Mumford and Sons have their space, she has her own. -Thomas

@ThomasEtchingham OK, first of all, I see your point, and it's totally justified in some ways, but I don't think it's very fair to say that Ellie is running out of ideas. Every artist out there does covers of songs, it doesn't make them better than the original most of the times, but in cases like Ellie covering Your Song by Elton John, she certianly proved that you CAN do a cover of a classic song and get just as much good reception as the original did.

@ThomasEtchingham Second, Ellie's main genre of music other than electronica and dance, IS folksy music, just like Mumford & Sons. And third, it's a live, acoustic, poorly recorded song. People at the gig absolutely adored it. Please know that I'm not directing this at you alone, but to a lot of people out there. This cover gets far too much stick that it doesn't deserve. I'm not picking on you, so if the comments sounded vicious, I'm sorry.. <:)
