  • yeah it's not a great adaptation, but it's not like the book was Shakespeare either. It's more of that tripe where an author writes about an author writing, ooh, big stretch...

  • I haven't seen this since 1997 and I gotta admit I'm impressed by the photography. There's some pretty strong compositions and lighting schemes in this movie even though the adaptation's poor. Funny, you can kinda tell an early 90s movie aesthetic, almost no matter what company is involved. Pet Sematary was shot in 1989 and has a distinctly late-80s aesthetic, this was shot in 1991 and has a distinctly early 90s one. Two years, a whole lot of difference.

  • @daspikia READ THE BOOK! yes the finger prints are identical, that's part of the reason why it's so strange. king is trying to show you how they are impossibly alike, after all stark did come from thad. btw, out of all the things that happen in this movie/book, that's what you decide to get your panties in a bunch over? LOL!

  • cops run and barf, chick walks in like "where my damn money?" lolll

  • WHY DID I JUMP WHEN THE VASE BROKE?? Dx

  • This is a fucking mockery. I cant watch such a great story get brutalized like this.

  • i luv his books & movies

  • @Myraclepuffs same !

  • I wish the voices werent so soft cuz when the stuff breaks and my volumes up it scares the shit outta me... =w=.... btw any stephen fans know this book where these people stay over at a house that is considered haunted and there are silver faces on the wall talking? Idk i remember reading something like that by stephen king. :( I wish I knew what it was....

  • @showerpwner I haven't read that story but I was once in a house in Louisiana that was supposedly haunted. It had a long central hallway. It was supposedly haunted by the man who built the house. His granddaughter and her husband lived in it and all sorts of things happened while they were renovating it. One thing was this: they had pictures of george (the grandfather) and his wife in the hall. One night they woke up and the pictures were talking to each other.

  • I hate people who give away story lines in the comments...and no, it isn't the same as the book otherwise the film would be 20 hours long!!!

  • What's up with that turkey again? lol

    Love that black car, awesome.

  • The killer is that damn eyeball in his brain. ITS THE EYEBALL I TELLS YA!!

  • lol. Because that's what you do when you come across a corpse of someone with their dick cut off and shoved in their mouth.

Put your hands on your hips and go, hmm.

  • Is it just me, or was Thad drinking chocolate milk out of a wine glass?

  • Is it jus me, or was Thad drinking chocolate milk out of a wine glass?

  • @TaliRaisa lol looks like it. Looks like it also might be Baileys or something though.

  • They found his fingerprints at the scene of the crime... shouldn't they arrest him? lol

  • funny how the land lord woman didn't get sicken by the corpse

  • if u fuck with me, u fuck with the best. sounds like al pachino in scar face loolol

  • Did i just heard Elvis Presley??

  • Comment removed

  • in every stephen king book, its better than the movie of course. IT, Misery, The Dark Half. The movies arnt as good as the books.

  • Respond to this video... bastard!!!

  • so stephen kings a killer alien,a huge killer dog, undead cat, a famous writer who had his feet broken with sledge hammers and a part time serial killer?!

  • lol at the landlady's reaction. Guess she sees this sort of thing all the time?

  • @wandererlain Or maybe she was planning of doing that to him as well but was a little miffed that someone beat her to it.

  • well he did touch the book that claussen had him autograph, technology can always pull fingerprints off something like that and place them wherever, ive never seen this movie before thats just my hypothesis

  • High toned SOB.

  • lol i love that landlord ladys reaction to his castration haha "hmm" head cocked to the side pmsl

  • they effed up this movie in so many ways. the book is a billion times better. why cant they do movies like its originally written.... books are written that way for a reason. the author is trying to send a story/message/vision to their readers.... i hate improvisation sometimes...

  • This movie is pretty damn epic :D

  • @welcome2my2ndlife i am so lolling my as off right now

  • @baddyboys1 lol

  • @baddyboys1 im replying to myself im fukin awesome

  • @baddyboys1 fuck the fuck fucking yeahhhhhh loling my ass off

  • at 4:17 what kinda car is that...badass

  • whats the dark half about?

  • I really hate the acting at 0:29-0:34

  • Seems to be a good song at the 5:50 mark, could anyone tell me what song being played

  • @amanofgreatevil I know your comment is like a year old, but if you're still wondering about the song, go to

    watch?v=edRnjGPJGo0 about halfway through.

  • has anyone else noticed they aren't showing a cloes-up of George Stark's author photo? does it look like he has a beard in the picture?

  • I flinched at 5:15

  • head phoneson max volume + vase shattering = scaring the shit out of me lol

  • 06:58 What's the jazzy song in the background?

  • LoL pause at 4:35

    Sh*t I actually flinched at 5:01

    5:48 he's heeere

Haha, tuff old bird, southern gal FTW! lol

  • the 1966 toronado is a bad ass ride! sinister looking! the entrance is great (4:16), the car is now just about finished being restored, the same guy they rented it from for the movie still owns it!

  • ha ha funny movie

  • I love it that the cops throw up but the landlady is like "dang, who's gonna clean this mess & how much will it cost me?" hmm....lol

  • LOL y did every one give my comment a thumbs down. it looked like leadger to me, i know it isnt but it looks like him to me .

  • wait how was the man killed in the apartment?

  • His d*ck was chopped of

  • ummm...is the sheriff drinking a beer while still on duty??? LOL....SMH

  • Strange!!

You only read out a persons rights before arresting them, Questioning dose not require to read out the rights as he is still a free man... strange,

  • He's pretty much giving up his rights by talking to them, he didn't have to talk to them or invite them into their home.

  • not a wise thing for him to do i know he should've said if u want any questions you could talk with my lawyer bcuz obviously these cops are screwing up with reading him his rights but not arresting him.

  • I hear what you're saying, but it's a small southern town. Things are done a bit differently. People know each other more personally and from childhood .. trust is a big factor and benefit of the doubt.

  • Yep, you can't get much more southern than Maine...

    LMAO

  • @MissLeigh78 Or New Hampshire where I happen to be from. . . Probably confused by that marvelous southern accent in this movie . . . Maine being so close to Dixie . . .

  • your right i wouldn't say anything notice they are out of there jurisdiction and plus notice they didn't flash a warrent at all. they can't just read him his rights if they got nothing.

  • It's part to do with his and George's connection

  • i think its part of the tumor inside of his head just like the beginning.

  • Michael Rooker!

  • Yes, Heath Ledger was 35-40 in 1992 LOL

  • you dont gotta be a dick about it. i dont really follow heath ledger.

  • trust me, kaveet, being "a dick about it" is about the only way to deal with some of the asinine comments on here lol

  • nothing to do with the film, but i was just wondering do identical twins have identical fingerprints, as even identical twins faces look slightly different to people who know them well. ?

  • identical twins do not have identical fingerprints im 12 and i know that!

  • fingerprints aren't the same but the DNA are which has caused promblems in murder cases before, one case in mexico the judge had to let both twins go because they refused to say which one was the killer

  • interesting

  • one in quadrillion, yeh

  • are you lonesome tonite hehe!!!!.

  • damn that cop is heath ledger sosie

  • the sparrows are flying again

  • At 7:18 shes like 'Damn, now who's gonna pay the rent he owes me'.

  • WTF Stark is Blond in the Book

  • Yep. Books tend to differ from the films. It was a croquet mallet in The Shining. I prefer the axe though.

  • prefer the mini series, ok more time , but at least you understand why he went nuts!!!.

  • @LeavesNoTrace Ha, and in Misery it was an axe changed to a sledgehammer. Both alterations seemed to pack more of a punch IMO.

  • wtf is that flash at 4:15?

  • Closson was smoking a chubby when he died! of course! it all makes since now!!

  • thadius is an awesome name

  • one fucked up dream... oh well time to get high YAY FOR WEED.

  • What the hell? In the book he had a fucking alibi!

  • the book is way better thad touches stuff in that dream and it gets destroyed then he touches his wife and she shrivels up and then her teth explode and her tounge falls out.

    its fricken awesome

  • Amen to that! I kinda wish they kept Homer Gamache's identity the same

  • they got some characters screwed up in this movie.... Homer Gamache was an old guy who liked to bowl and drink some with his buddies, not the photographer. he only had one hand and we never formally met him in the book. The photographer was a snooty chick from New York. they also messed up where he was during Homer's death, the day of the week he was gone and the fact that in the dream George never walks in front of him its always just a ghostly hand hanging in front of his face.

  • Even so, it wouldn't be schizo. It would be split personality syndrome.

Does it still count if techinically it's a twin?? It should coz it is still a physical presence rather than a simple mental dissorder.

  • Gah, multi personality syndrome for any one who wants to be proper.

Is the book better than this?? I like it so far, I gotta get the book

  • Actually, it's Multiple Personality Disorder, shortened to MPD.

  • 7:18 - hmmmmmm... lol

  • Awesome book.

  • oh my god ,,, somebody please tell me what kind of car that is .. It is sooo sweet

  • 1968 Ford Torino GT

  • look at the shadow at 7:30 you can se the penis in Clossons mouth hahahahahaaahhahaa

  • Is it just m or does that police dude look like a leser attractive Heath ledger

  • Lol!! He does. Add a little more hair and some, lipstick and white makeup and we've got the joker.

  • I freaking love how the woman doesn't even freak out but the cop do!

  • if some one has the book can he plz tell me why there are birds?

  • WTF?! He supposed to have blond hair and be huge...this is the only thing the director screwed up.

  • Also Thad's wife was supposed to be beautiful.

  • why, are you trying to sya shes ugly

  • Exactly.

  • i want that car!!!!

  • Have Pleasant nightmares...

  • Bad ass ride! What is that?

  • '66 Oldsmobile Toronado ;)

  • definitly the scariest part

  • This is exactly how I imagined Thad. EXACTLY.

  • Isn't it great? I love this movie. And even though they changed Stark's appearance a bit, I still like the way ol George turned out.

  • You'll like it better if you knew that the same actor that plays thad plays george. what a perfect way to complete the whole dark half thing...cast the same actor.

  • Timothy Hutton is awesome as Thad/Geroge! It makes sense that he portrays them both, since George is his evil doppelganger.

  • that vase breaking scared the fudge out of me.

  • haha same here

  • "When you f/ck with me, you're f/ckin' with the best." Love that line.
