Awesome videos, man! I've always liked right-hand drive vehicles, whether they're used as mail vehicles or personal. I'd buy one for myself if I knew where to look. It's too bad this video has no sound. Perhaps next time you take this one out, add some sound, eh? Awesome videos! Keep up the good work.
i got mine because its rhd. its a trip going from one side to the other. i was a garbage man for 3 years and at 14 hours a day i got so comfortable over there. good to see other djs out there but dont get too popular i like turning heads still
Thats because its called a DJ5, they had DJ7s, and DJ8s and I'm pretty sure DJ6s. They are just 2 wd jeeps and share the same parts pretty much. You can spot lots of differences though.
I agree, I get most of my parts from advance auto, and whenever I get a new guy at the counter they will always say they dont carry parts that old. But they always seem to be shocked when I help guide them through their computer system and find all kinds of parts for my old CJ
how fast is top speed and how good does it climb hills?

Ive had both mine up to 70, its quite unsafe at those speeds being so topheavy, but they have no problem going 55 or 60 on normal roads

Yea, thats true. the DJ5 and the CJ5 were pretty much the same, except for the 2wd, some body differences, and the right hand drive.

You learn after a while when at the auot parts store to say you have a old CJ5 or the will laugh and say you can't get parts for it.
I drove mine to work (not postal) for seven years, finally upgraded to a older Cheorkee due to a new job and a lot more miles to drive..
Great vidio, I miss mine, thanks for the ride.

I love these postal jeeps. 'cousins' to the CJ5. Thanks for sharing a good vid.
