  • He's got my vote

  • I was going to vote for him... until I saw his tie.

  • He's got my vote

  • I would vote for him if he wasn't going to legalize marijuana.

  • @Leopardfire5566

Might I suggest thinking about it not in terms of legalizing some forbidden substance but in the context of ending a 70 year prohibition. Just as prohibition on alcohol created a hot-bed of organized crime, so has the prohibition of pot. Instead of potentially taking advantage of marijuana both in terms of tax revenue and medical benefit, we waste tax payer dollars supporting a costly 'war on drugs' and keeping non-violent 'criminals' locked up in prison.

  • @Leopardfire5566 Why? Marijuana does absolutely no harm. The only ones who don't think that are high school freshmen and conservatives. The taxation of it could get rid of state debt in about a decade (assuming we didn't pile on more debt)

  • Third Party Revolution would like to endorse Rich Whitney in his campaign for Governor of Illinois, along with many other third party and independent candidates seeking public offices nationwide, ranging from local to federal levels.

  • @ThirdPartyRevolution Off topic, but I am asking fellow Greens this. Should we come out as a party and demand that Obama take BP into conservatorship/recievership? I think this would really be something many progressives would agree with. Please let me know what you think. Good Idea bad idea indifferent? Maybe I could start a FB page for it. Go Green Party!

  • Mao did not get elected. The day after the election, our long march against Obama begins.

  • Too bad I don't live in Illinois. I'd probably vote for this guy.

  • Hello. I'm a rich whitey and I'd like you to vote for me - WHAT!??!!! Oh, God, in light of recent events, I needed that laugh...

  • Get out and run for office and teach your children to do the same. Take back city hall, senate and congress and even the puppetdent. Oust the lawyers and change the system from the inside out.

  • It's a shame that people vote for someone based on what they call themselves (democrat, republican, liberal, conservative)

I really hate labels, because people tend to summarize someone's beliefs based on how they label themselves.

America is not a democracy. A democracy is a government where the people create the laws. We don't create the laws, senators do.

I would like to see America become the first democracy, and have it's citizens create the laws.

  • I thought it said "rich whitey" instead of "Rich Whitney".. lol

The Green Party is the ONLY political party in which I hold many beliefs with, for I am an Environmental Anarcho Communist.

I only encourage the Green Party to be more libertarian.

    Good luck.

  • Anarchy and communism just doesn't seem like it would mix.

    Me, and I'm anarcho-capitalist :D

  • Communism = Equal, classless society -- very easy to achieve with Anarcho Communism. In fact, state communism is an oxy-moron because the state becomes a class of itself.

"Anarcho" Capitalism is an oxy-moron because Anarchism is so much more than an opposition to rulers. It's an opposition to wage slavery, the state, exploitation of workers, etc.

Because of no restrictions and motifs still there, corporations would dominate, then becoming the rulers.

  • How do you prevent people from organizing and creating a business?

The state is just one big corporation that has too much power. Without a state, and with people regulating the market instead of a corrupt government, there is no wage slavery, and exploitation of workers.

Our current system is a merger of corporations and government. This creates what I like to call government aided monopolies.

Free market, no coercive government = no exploitation, and equal rights.

  • "How do you prevent people from organizing and creating a business?"

In an Anarcho Communist society, the motifs would be gone. There would be absolutely no exploitative corporations because money would be out of the question.

  • I don't think so. Money would never be out of the question.

It's human nature to consume, and compete, and acquire resources.

You're essentially telling a human not to be a human. Plus, how do you enforce such communism? Which begs the question: is an ideal that requires enforcement, really an anarchist ideal?

  • Communism is equal, you can't use authority and enforcement to create equality.

"Anarcho" Capitalism would have corporations as rulers, which directly goes against Anarchist principals.

  • ""Anarcho" Capitalism would have corporations as rulers, which directly goes against Anarchist principals."

Don't think so. Communism never works, never has, never will. You have to completely wipe every human's tendency to be greedy.

Anarcho-Capitalists realize this. When you have gov regulating corporations, you get merging of gov and corps. When you have PEOPLE regulating the corps, no corp can get too powerful.

  • "Don't think so"

    Way to back that up.

"Communism never works, never has, never will"

Communism has never been tried. Only strong state socialist Marxist societies have been tried.

"You have to completely wipe every human's tendency to be greedy"

I do not use force, I am an Anarchist. And uh, you're talking about greed while backing up the capitalist system.

Look up true communism in relation to Anarchism, not State Communism (which you and I both dislike).

    Look up Kropotkin, an Anarchist.

  • Hahaha, I laugh at your idea of communism. Communism will never, ever work. simply because man does not want to share.

The reason corporations get away with what they do today is because we've created a huuuuge monopoly called the government. Corporations like AT&T, Qwest, and Wal-mart, are buddies with the government.

They put down regulations that won't let me run a store out of my house, lay down fiber optic lines, etc.

True communism requires man to not be greedy, which won't happen.

  • Either way, in an anarchist society... you're going to have a 100% free market regulated by the people, not by a government.

The more motivated and strategic business owners who provide higher quality products will naturally become bigger... you can't stop that. It's only when the government steps in, and lays down regulations, does small business get squashed.

  • "AT&T, Qwest, and Wal-mart" would all still exist and dominate as rich, corporations and the smaller businesses would get squashed by them.

"True communism requires man to not be greedy, which won't happen."

Look, you can be greedy all you want but as for me, I want both liberty and equality.

Whnn being equal is such a radical thing for another supposed Anarchist, it saddens me.

  • ""AT&T, Qwest, and Wal-mart" would all still exist and dominate as rich, corporations and the smaller businesses would get squashed by them."

They would only still exist if they provided quality products at reasonable prices.

"Whnn being equal is such a radical thing for another supposed Anarchist, it saddens me."

I don't want to be exactly like you, I just want equal rights. There's no motivation or aspiration if everyone has to be the same.

  • If you wanted equal rights, you wouldn't endorse a political school of thought that would enable the corporations to rule over the lower class.

  • The only corporation ruling over the lower class is the government.

  • Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Target, FOX News, CNN, etc.

Corporations naturally exploit workers for more money.

  • Because there's nowhere else to work.

  • Working because if you do not, you become homeless is wage slavery.

  • Are you proposing we all just lie down in a grassy knoll and count daisies?

How will cars be made? How will planes be operated? How will society fucking function?

There's nowhere else to work because we're not in a completely free market. Try competing with Qwest, get together with your neighbors, try laying down some fiber optic lines, and see how quickly the FCC puts a stop to that shit.

The people regulate the corporations in a free market economy.

  • Absolutely not.

You will be given necessities for free in return for working for free. If you stop working, the flow of free goods is halted for you (which is okay, because it allows Individualists/farmers/etc).

  • lol, not going to happen. you're living in a dream world. Also, not everyone can have a car (simply because that many cars can't be manufactured for everyone in the world)

If man wanted to share, we wouldn't have corrupt politicians taking bribes. The president wouldn't be fighting secret wars around the globe. Senators wouldn't be able to give themselves raises.

You can't have a system that relies on good will, man is fallible. free markets rely on regulation by the people.

  • End the Neo Con/Liberal Rule, vote for this guy!
