Certain organisms display VARIATIONS, some of those variations are beneficial. Those organisms that exhibit beneficial variations are more likely to survive and pass on their variations to their offspring. It's very simple.

You said earlier that "mutated organisms can't breed". But a person attains about 128 mutations before they are even BORN! And the cells in your body will mutate another 30 or so times over your lifetime. MOST mutations are totally neutral and don't do anything. See the James Randi Psychic Investigator series, or his debunking of Uri Geller. It's on youtube. In fact, he's famous for it.
2) Perhaps you would do better to not talk down to others so much when you don't even know the most basic things about the people you discuss.
