The writers made some pretty smart moves after this, what with ditching the diary thing and Stefan no longer running at some sort of super speed. It makes the whole thing a lot more gritty, and saves the show from those cheesy last minute entrances smallville is made from.

I blame the network for dragging out the seasons and taking such long breaks all the time. It's only on season 2 and yet it feels like I've been watching it FOREVER.
when i read about the vampire diaries, it always reminds me of twilight in a way. but lj smith's plot line is waaay better and more captivating. and she also wrote the first installment back in 1991 so i see smith as the first one who was into this vampire fad in pop culture today. =)
@jjgirl8888 Yes, but the Vampire Diaries (show) has a much more old school, gothic, romantic feel to it. Vampires burning in the sun, flashbacks to the 1800s, witches, cemetaries, etc. Twilight was like watching Napolean Dynamite with really stiff actors and the occassional show of superspeed or strength. With VD, the supernatural is its heart & core and with Twilight the supernatural is really just a surface metaphor.
@AWickedMind Yes and the focus on supernatural dilemmas is why TVD is so fast paced and entertaining. The plotline is also very broad and complex, unlike Twilight's. I do not see the relevance of Twlight and Napolean Dynamite though. All the props and settings in Twilight is modern while Napolean Dynamite is old school and retro.

Elena has every right to be scared/bitchy. I would be too! When she ran and he caught her and said "please don't be afraid of me" He sounded psycho. I love you Stefan, but he needs to understand that anyone would be horrified if that happened.

I am a big Twilight fan, but The Vampire Diaries is much better. Elena acted like every other human out there would act.
Bella didn't act frightened she just accepted the fact easily. Elena accepted the fact but later after she truly figured it out that Stefan doesn't mean her harm. So i like it better, i mean come on who will not be afraid to find out that is dating a vampire? Someone that is thirsty for their blood?

hey how could you upload this? i just can upload some webclips but i did a video (stefan salvatore all vampire moments) and i swapped the video so itsi mirrorwrong (sorry i don't now the word for it and can't explain it) (hope you understand what im trying to say) and the video starts after 30 seconds and my video still gets deleted! @VampireDiariesxGer I try to post small videos and I try do add an effect or edit it somehow, so its not completly the original version. For exemple, In this video I wrote something "The true ..." and I added litle effects. But I dont know if this helps or if I'm lucky. I got videos deleted too. I have two warnings on my acount. Thats why I created another one for vampire vids. Good luck for your video.

I think Elena throughout the series is far more helpful with Stefan's condition than Bella ever was. Elena takes care of Stefan in the same amount he takes care of her. I mean, she entered a house full of vampires to save him! If that's not love...
Besides, Bella is useless...most of the time.

I know there's no such thing as vampires, but let me say this in fantasy: If I was Elena and a guy like Stefan who really liked me told me he was a vampire, I would be so frightened! I know Elena was scared and I don't blame her because I like her. Vampires can be scary even if they're not going to hurt you!!!
