Crono + prisim specs + his rainbow or dreamseeker (his ultimate weapon in the ds version that maxs out his attack and has a 90% crit rate) + frenzy/confuse = ultimate physical damage of 1000+ per hit if his stats are maxed out
I love how there's logic to every single character that leaves the room before the fight EXCEPT for the judge and jury. The jury just stays there like "Yeah, whatever, fighting, explosions..." and the judge himself just sorta goes "POOF". Little details. =P
Also, in the fact the king runs without so much as a second glance back at his DAUGHTER to see if she's safe behind him or anything. And after that whole cholesterol incident. He's just wonderful in his roles as father and ruler, isn't he?
By getting the King to disown the Princess, the Chancellor destroyed the royal line. Otherwise, even if the King was usurped, rule would rightly fall to Marle.
Personally, I prefer to give Crono a suit of Nova Armor so I can swap his headgear between Haste Helm and Safe Helm as I see fit without worrying about status protection.
HCBailly - About the "capitalist" thing of the king being accused of selling the prism as a crime, it is ok to happen since the prism is a "kingdom's good" (don't know how to say it English, the thing is, it's not a personal object that belongs to the king, even if it were a family object it could be a crime since it's particularly the king's)! Thanks for the videos HCBailly, it really helps me playing the game! Hugs
Exaclty. It's not as though Buckingham Palace is deeded to the Queen. It belongs to the kingdom, but as the royal family they get to use it in exchange for serving the kingdom.
I find it strange how intimate the royal family is in video games and stuff. Irl, often kings wouldn't even meet their children, and their children often never met one another. Like Elizabeth and her sister Mary. Did ya know they never even met in person, despite the media disinformation?
Obviously, as other people here pointed out (including HC himself in the video), framing the king for selling the Rainbow Shell (as if it's a crime) is insane. What would have actually made sense, however, would be framing the king for the death of Queen Aliza, since her death was relatively recent at this point in the game. Of course, then it's hard to tie it into the Rainbow Shell, and you need the Shell so you can get that awesome equipment.
I think we are forgetting that this game was translated/ported over. The Japanese do have royalty. Maybe...maybe there is some sort of law in Japan that prohibits royalty from selling its treasury? I'm just playing around with the possibility. Who knows?
U're kinda right. The royalty in Japan cannot sell its royal treasures for own gain. They MUST share the money with the investments of the country in education, S&T, medicine, and others, seeing that is a parliamentary monarchy, just like in England. If they desobey it, becomes a crime, that can even end up a lineage, as we are seeing in CT.
Selling royal treasures is nothing. Hell, Elizabeth sold business monopolies and almost all of the Stuarts sold titles to the gentry for quick cash.
"Crap, I need to fund a war, but I've bankrupted England yet again! I know, I'll just give the landowners with money to burn a title, for a price!"
Diluting the title-based stratification system is way more controversial than selling off a few trinkets in state coffers. Course, its hard to say when Japanese games are based of the European system.

The Rainbow Shell was probably property of the Crown rather than King Guardia himself. As such, it would be considered theft if the monarch sold the item without the consent of the people. In other words, the shell is a possession of the nation, not the individual person.
I don't think it's a true monarchy, it seems like it has some blend of capitalism, and the rainbow shell was owned by the public. So when the king supposedly sold it and pocketed the profit, he effectively stole it from the public.

most monarchical systems make/made a distinction between the king's private funds (the "privy purse"), and the financial assets of the whole kingdom. It would depend on the terms in which Guardia 600 AD kept the Rainbow Shell in trust ("for that spiky head mute and and his friends"?).
